What a great time we had the past 24 hours.
Mac's on the road north...
Marty's still in the air (and just slightly bruised by me)...
Bob & Jean are huggin and kissin Grandbabies...(thanks for the ride you 2...you ARE the best!!!)
Agent is now OFFICIAL at "Stage I" with the DTR...and his son Nick WILL be detailing my car soon...
Marauderman is getting Dennis liquored up and working out the price of a blower somewhere (and we don't want to know where) on a napkin...
Shela showed once again she is a "saint"..."I'lldrive the truck towing the mustang Dennis...you go ahead and drive the Supercharged Marauder by yourself"...
Gonzo has one of the cutest little girls you've ever laid eyes on...
Macon Marauder with his lovely family (Cassidy...you are a sweatheart!) put up with a bunch of middle aged boys acting like 12 year olds around a Dyno...
Frdwrnch literally was taking pictures of the expansive Service Bays (and the high-dollar tool chests) used by the Team of expert techs at Team Ford (I think to take back to his boss for a "wish list") and he's headed back with his lovely Pat...
Fordnut showed off his new custom cat-back system and sped off into the afternoon in his "Black Beauty"....
And...the Atlanta Marauders showed EVERYONE how to have a meet...
Man...I know I'm missing folks...and I'm sorry...but...

Boy...did we have some fun...or what?

Well, I am back to. I am exhausted!!! It takes a lot to put a beatin' on that guy Todd. I guess with a face like that it is obvious he can take a punch!!

Just kidding!! Good times were had by all. Thanks for showing me Southern hospitality.

And, for those of you that are curious. Todd is actually like a brother to me. The brother I wish I never had!!

Thank's Todd for the hospitality and giving me the keys to your Marauder for a spin around the area. It was a treat to actually feel the difference between your modded Marauder and my stock one, "Thank's". :D

Also to all the members of the ATL, thanks for the awesome show at the dynojet, and the ones that came out of town: Agent M79 and his family, Bob with his Trilogy #4, SergentMac with the Marauder S that stole the show at the dynojet with a posted RWHP of 441, hope I got that number right, and Dennis was real busy at work I missed him, sorry.

I had a blast metting eveyone, they know who they are, I enjoyed your company and thanks for the talk, I can now put some names with faces and thats great. Hope to do this again, maybe at Bristol next year. See ya'll later. :bounce:  :D

I want to give special thanks to MartyO for bringing the 3M double sided tape for the fender emblems, "Thank's MartyO", I didn't even have to ask him for it, he already knew when we meet, awesome.

Actually the northern crew were very gracious as well. Thanks to Sarge for appetizers Friday night and Marty for breakfast on Saturday am.

Sorry to have left the dyno so early; a guy called who wanted to look at the car I have for sale.

I went by Team today and it was still packed with cars about to be dynoed.

Bob

PS-my wife crashed Friday night!

Man-oh-man, we had a blast! This was one of the three best weekends of my life (including my honeymoon, don't ask...)

I met so many new MM owners, I'm still having trouble keeping the mental pics associated with the posts here, but y'all were great people who made this yankee feel very much at home. I was so busy having a ball, I missed my own dyno!

Yep...441 RWHP and 398 RWTQ, along with 22 MPG highway...Not too shabby for an old man and his Marquis, eh?

The drive down was good, I split it into two days because I was leaving from the office. The ride home was non-stop and went without a hitch, other than light rain and fog in KY and So. ILL. Took another route home, a possible "shortcut" which shaved a whopping 2 miles, and 1 min 45 sec from my travel plans!

Todd, thank you for setting this up, and I'm waiting to hear more about the Talladega meet. Thank you all for a great time.

Hey...Any y'all want to have more MM fun that you ever expected, start making these meets, K? Once you do, you won't be able to stay away.

"Round, round, get around, I get around..."

Well-- I am back --safe and sound--
Whew!!! I had so much fun -- if you would have touched me I would explode!!!! I was in the ora of the "Kuda gra" of the best friends anyone could have---the names have already been mentioned--I feel like what winners feel after being awarded an Oscar--speechless-

There were so many situations that were great, funny and again speechless---and my weekend closed with looking towards the future with exciting results from this weekends test./tuned results.

My car was like a rocket on the way back home--no ( there were 7) challengers were successful --If you ever get the chance to do a Tune like this--DO IT!

It was so great meeting martyo and Mac (Sarge) and thanks for letting me drive the Beast--that was also speachless---enough to want to get one myself.....and to Bob and Jean--what a wonderful couple--and thanks to you too Bob for the test drive--yours is an awsome car too--Oh yeah!!

I felt truly like a kid in the candy store- --with no supervision-
And great meeting all those I did not mentioned also--you know who you are as well---wow-- say Todd--can you post names of all who attended--seems you have the best 411 on that--hope all who took pics can show them in a few days---Have gone on long enough--Oh yeah--Nice show Carolina guys---frdwrnch and
AgentM79( got to take ride along w/him on first stage I feel-- his GRINN hit both side windows--had to duck) ----

Well--you get the picture I hope--I Won't come down for a month!!! ......Tom

AAAAAH HA HA HAAAAAA! Woooooooo!

So many people and activity packed into such a short period of time!

Here are our highlights:

"The speed limit here is 65, not 78... I need your license and registration... where are you going in such a hurry?" ... "I am going to Atlanta sir...(in my head: to make my car go faster)"

Jo revealed to me that when the officier looked in to check us out, she had to flip the paper over that she had out... it was the locations of heavy LEO concentration that TAF sent.

Always having to pry martyo and TAF apart:
http://www.mercurygallery.net/mmnet/watermark.php?file=500/1096ATL641-med.jpg

Meeting so many people from MM.net I can hardly remember them all. Everyone was really cool (except TAF and martyo, always with the bickering and bringing everyone down).

Half the Carolina Contingent was there!

Everyone loved the DTR.

Eating hamburgers and hotdogs while a parade of Marauders, Mustangs, and T-Birds went 120-150 right in front of my eyes. Some finding the resonant frequency that made my entire chest vibrate.

Purposely avoiding driving and rides in SC MMs so that I didn't trade the boy for one on the spot. He's glad too.

My MM on the lift with stuff pouring out of it while getting some new guts before the tune.

Wandering back to the service bay where Scott Levine and Dennis Reinhart are both buttoning her up. She was missing on a cylinder but purring... turns out she was running on only 4 as the entire right side spark plug blank was not plugged in!

My heart falling out as my first dyno pass reveals a seriously underpowered MM and then the blood draining from my body when I hear "SMOKE! We have smoke from the rear!" and all I am thinking is I now have toasted 4:10s.

Emergency brakes are good for about -25HP by the way.

Here is when it looks right (that's Dennis in back making sure it's right):
http://www.mercurygallery.net/mmnet/watermark.php?file=500/1096ATL640-med.jpg

My astonished reaction when I did my first WOT 1-2 shift and it felt like I got hit from the back by a truck doing 80. My MM took off like a rocket on rails. Marauderman was with me and I am certain he heard the evil chuckle come from me.

Getting closer to home and getting the call from TAF just to make sure we were doing ok and the car was performing well.

Tackling the big hill by my house with renewed power. Hitting those familiar corners faster and flatter than before.

For those of you I met: It was a joy. Everyone was awesome.

For those that helped me (and you know who you are): Thanks again. You are terrific.

For those I was able to help in some way: Glad to do it, just pass it on.

For those that don't come to these things: Do it next time. You'll really like it!

AM looking forward to more of our meets together--see ya soon..........Tom

My thanks to TAF and all of the MM.net crew. It was a pleasure to meet and spend some time w/all of you. Truly a memorable weekend and I'll definitely be back to do it again. And yes I was wearing that camera out taking pictures and making a wish list of upgrades, Baer brakes, exhaust, swaybars, a couple of awesome blower kits,... oh here we go!

It sounds fine--like ANY get together- but --most folks only get 10 days off a year and to use half up so quickly and wanting to save for Bristol,,well

Maybe a post of what yearly events ARE possible and then we all can make /create meets accordingly...hey ..my 02.....don't throw at me k?.Tom

I would like to thank Todd for his efforts in setting-up this event. It was great just talking to everyone and exchanging stories and information. I learned alot about the MM. Thanks - Marty, Todd, Mac, Bob, Tom, Dennis and everyone else. A great bunch of folks. Marty - thank you again for taking care of the breakfast and Mac thanks again for the plaques. Mac you may have missed the dyno of your S/C MM, but It was very impressive and sounded unreal. I was very pleased with my Jerry dyno-tune. Next step is probably the exhaust system.

Thanks again everyone, hope to see you all at the next event.

Tod: put me on your mailing list. I missed Atlanta of course cause I am in Dallas....but I never even knew this was planned. I want to be involved in one of these dyno meets and supertune. Definately got some issues in the tuning part of my MM. I am dying to have Steve do adjustments to mine.

As far as Taledaga, I want in on that...keep me updated.

This is Dennis' SWEET '04...

Man! Talk about a kid in a candy store! I was just walking around saying "Wow!" over and over. Todd, you are awesome man: the perfect host. I'm just sorry I missed the dinner and breakfast. Mucho gracies to both you and Mac for the commemorative dash plaques.

I only got to talk briefly with Mac and Dennis (it seemed they were always being pulled in 10 different directions at once) but it was way cool meeting them. And very cool to watch Mac's Marauder S on the dyno (it went right after mine).

Everybody was just so cool and friendly. It felt like a family reunion. Jean was the first to approach after we arrived. She and Bob were just incredible! They made us feel right at home. And Bob INSISTED that I drive his Trilogy S/C Marauder. The awesome, effortless power was almost scary! If you don't have a S/C and you get the chance to drive one I suggest you go for it. Specs and words just do not do the experience justice.

Todd was gracious enough to loan us his car for a quick errand and it was awesome, too. The exhaust sound was incredible and perfect. Pulls like a demon, too!

Agent, his lovely wife Jo and their son have a very sweet DTR Marauder. I wonder if he got tired of me saying, "It's beautiful, man!" My wife said, "See! You should have waited."

FordNut has a sweet exhaust set up and his MM is very unique. Got me to thinking about pinstripes again.

My first meet and it was more fun than I could have imagined. A blast meeting everyone!
