Well, I figured it was such a beautiful day, why not work on the car! ;) The Air suspension light has come on every so often ever since I bought it last year. The suspension works fine and I can hear the compressor turn on. I did notice water pooling in the well so I drilled a hole to drain it last fall. I got it out fairly easily but I did notice a lot of corrosion to the point of case swelling betwen the motor housing and the pump housing. Once got it apart... oops, uhhh, where's the gasket??? It was a white powder. Luckily the motor, magnets, bearings, etc. looked great. I did find a lot of rust on the inside housing, corrosion on the terminals and rust flakes all over the magnets. I cleaned everything with a Dremel and wire brush. I drilled out all four housing screw points for some stainless steel nuts and bolts and used an rtv gasket maker for the new seal. Put it back in and so far so good!

Went with rear coils AKA CV Police interceptor HD coils. Nothing like losing a compressor .Rides like a rock & good bye to the air bags if forced to drive 200 miles FLAT...equals big bucks & a lot of stress. My Marauder rides great & no worries .

I would NEVER consider putting springs to replace the air bags on my Marauder :shake: . Good Job RacerX hopefully it will go another 100,000mi sounds like you did a good repair. Gotta love the ever so versitile DREMEL!

+1!!

Just some preventative maintenance is all it takes!

Clean out the cowl so your wiper motor doesn't crap out.

Pull the Blower Motor Control and resolder the contacts.
