265/40 18 for fronts?

Has anyone tried a tire of this size on their MM.
I am stuck with a new pair from my Mark 8 (along with a pair of 245/45 18 that are the same as my fronts now).
They are the same diameter or real close as the 45's but wider.

I am going to try 265/45/18's on the front when these wear out, but haven't yet.

255's are the widest you should run

The rims will hold them, but too wide for the wells. It wouldnt look right and may rub on turns.

Sumitomo HTR ZIII
I have been running them on my Mark for a couple of years now and I love them, unfortunately they don't make anything near what I need for the rears so I guess I will be mixed branded for a while
