View Full Version : EATC diagnostic Codes?
I know there's a way to retrieve the diagnostic codes but for the life of me I can't find them.
Once I get it is there a cheat sheet?

Key on, engine running: Press OFF and FLOOR simultaneously, then press AUTOMATIC within 2 seconds. The EATC will have to run some tests and do some thinking. It may take up to 30 seconds. Soon it may display some codes. Write these down. To exit self test press DEF

I got 024. So it's the blend door. Now what?
Do I just give up and take it to the stealer ,,... ops I mean dealer???
I tried the test but couldn't get it to work.
How long do you hold the OFF and FLOOR down together? Is there some display that signals a test is being performed?
I waited more than 30 sec (as per my watch) but no codes, no 888, just normal display.
I did as the instructions indicated but nothing happened except the AC working OK.
What did I miss?
I'm interested because my ETAC is intermittent in routing air through the vents even though the blower fan is working and controllable.
Thanks,
Pat
OK, got it to work, both on my MM and GM. Guess I didn't have the sun in the right quadrant. There is a revolving curser as the test is running. Both cars tested good with an 888.

Anyone have any good ideas?
