Modified HID 3000k with Quad blaster fog lights.
I always disliked my stock fog lights, Well today i have done little modification to it. I have seen HID fog light on the Marauders, but i still think there weak. and plus i don't want to copy them, i want to be a little different by putting more lights. So i removed them weak ones out, got me a new Quad blaster more power more light distance. :coolman:

Before you need to do this modification you need to remove the H1 light from it scoket, please read this link: http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=59239

1st:
You need to separate the fog light in to 2:

Simply remove the clips and it's open

As you see how easy the removal is

2nd: You need to remove those nasty stock light blockers, Just pull it right off. You could also remove it and keep the stock light's, you'll be surprised how much brighter your stock ones are without those nasty blockers .

Improve your light by removing those nasty ASS Blockers

3rd:
I did something differnt, i mounted my hid bulbs external so i could be more brighters and plus i dont want to copy other members with there weak ass hids system setup.

You might get a ticket for not having the blocker on there. It is to keep other drivers from getting blinded by the light. Good luck with that...

its not the beam that is going to cause the issue....it is the lighting element itself.

That LED is weak sauce compared to my set up! Here is a shot of my phaze 3, WAY over 9000 watt lightning maker that I plan to install in my fogs... It will actually knock 3 seconds off my 1/4 mile at night when illuminated.......!

lol, because the light is so bright it thins out the air in front of you, thus allowing you to go thru it faster

If you want better light from the fog light, change the whole unit to a larger aftermarket or get a set of projector fog lights. I'm going to try and get a used pair from a 500/Taurus/Sable and fab something up.
