Yesterday I was @ a friends house repairing his 1970 Chevelle.
He is a painter so I also asked him to do the lettering in the new Door Sill plates I had bought for the Marauder this year.
He had a question about where they were actualy going to sit in the car.
While we were checking out the front door sill area I noticed some silver duct tape over my fuse block and seeing I had never open it before I thought it was strange so too a closer look. And then this is what I found in that area.

It looks like somone cut away a piece of my lower dash and it no longer meets the panel comming up from the door sill plates.
Can someone or several please take a picture of this area so I can see for sure this is not a part of my imagination? The e-brake release is just to the right of it.
If someone @ the body shop did this I want to come @ them with proof that this is not the way the car hit thier door step.

I had planed to take her to the Progressive center tomarrow to have the new door switch planel replaced that came in.
I had to wait till the Federal Jury duty thing was over to do this.
But I don't want to go to them and adress this without picture proof that this is not normal so I have some ground to stand on with them.
Other wise I would not have botherd you guys with the issue. I don't see any reason why someone would need to do this replacing a door?!

The plastic cover on my fuse block also has tape on it from the factory.

With all the times I have cleaned the inside of te car I never noticed the tape nor the cut away on the dash.
Must be because of the accident on that side that I am paying so much attention to stuff now. Can't see any other reason for my noticing things now.

I wasn't in a panic persay I was just ready to raise holy hell if this was done by someone other than the factory.
I did not want to do or say something without proof ahead of time so I would not feel like an idiot if it was proven to me they had nothing to do with it.

Just another example the the high build quality of our vehicles. No detail is too small or to large to overlook!

I am sure if we looked through every car on the market close enough we would see things like this in one spot or another.
@ least there have been no major issues with the Marauder and no major recall's. You can't say you didn't get your money's worth out of them if bought brand new.

I made a small filler panel that fits in there, mounted some switches there. Line lock on/off switch, tune select rotary switch for my chip, and A/B/dyno mode switch for the transmission controller.
