Someone contacted me today in a P.M. about having a problem with fumes comming inside of the car after doing a S/C and using open breathers on both side's of the engine.
With having a child in the Marauder often he was worried about the fumes beining a problem seeing it is giving him a head ach as well.
It might be a good idea to put long venting tube's on those 2 spots and run them along the frame under the car and behind the engine and then putting the breathers on the end of those tube's once they are secured and mounted.
This should keep the smell and fumes out of the inside of the car.
Thought some of you would be interested in the sugestion I offerd him for a fix to the problem.
How many members got pm's from bawazir today? This is just ridiculous.
Ive had breathers on my car for years and never smelled anything.

If it is bothering him then it might be worse for the kid so there is nothing wrong with a little caution.
Some people can smell things easier than others and are more sensitive to those fumes.
Wait, this is a problem.
I have a child!!!!

@ least he is thinking about his kid and you can not say anything against that Zack.
Some people never give it a second thought now a days.

As I have always said, leave the PCV system intact.

+1
I was wondering why you would vent them anyway...:dunno:
I thought that there were several ways to run a PCV on a Centrifugal S/C and still preclude oil fumes from causing detonation.

I can smell mine only when sitting at a light for a couple minutes, not too worried about it.

I did smell it too in his car. Hope you get it solved Bawazir.
PCV causes all the oil and crap on your throttle body and intakes.
The Marauder engine bay is one of the largest, and least filled with CRAP setups you can ask for.
I never like to add things like catch cans and additional plumbing for anything. I always remove stuff if I can. Plus I have no oil in my intake...ever.

Are you saying you have no discoloration on your TB's or intakes or just no puddles. :)

He's running breather's so there's nothing going to his intake track. There would not be any discoloration of any kind

He is Zack! His car runs as clean as the water through the mountains of Maine!

If he alway's ran breathers then he would not say he never has oil in is intakes because it is mutually exclusive. He did not alway's have breathers on all his cars.
Though it is hard to keep track of all the cars he has had!!!!

Inflection is hard to read online, could very well have been a smart ass comment

Keep in mind ever car is a little different. Some guys will get a toxic smell in the car and some won't. We have a few different cars down here that have different set up's with the PCV system and experenced different things. Some cars will be a little different so if someone is haveing a problem let's just try to give them helpful advice so they can correct it .

He asked for help and advice and I offerd a way to work around the problem and thought others might be interested in the same thing or an idea on how to work on something they find acceptable for their own car as far as looks and functionality.
Zack is helping guys with putting on S/C's on our Marauder's for a cheaper price than we originaly had to pay. It just ment some changes had to be made to have it all work.

Just wanted to back up what you said about us offering help and that we should not blow off someone's concerns.
I personaly would have found a way to make the original set up work just in a better way so oil is not being easily dumped back into the intake.
But I would rather have fumes and oil dumped under the car than inside of the engine compartment.

We should always do our best too help each other when we/they need help like you did and Zack did. It makes all of us a community stronger & us better people for it.
