I need some help very badly, I reside in Dallas, TX and I cannot find a mechanic that knows anything about Marauder's so maybe someone here can help or maybe even has had these same problems.
first is a loud hmmm noise that comes from under my hood when i first start my car, its lasts for about 10 seconds then it stops. Im not sure what the hell the noise is or where it is coming from but i definitely want to get it fixed asap. Somebody help me help me please.
Second problem just started a few days ago, Whenever I cut my AC on the battery voltage meter drops almost down to 0 and the battery light flashes on. When the AC isnt on which it hasnt been every since this first started happening, my voltage reads 12.5vlt, I think this is normal voltage for the car so I dont believe I need a new battery. But if anytone has had this problems or any ideas as what this could be, again Somebody help me help me please. O and this Texas weather is no joke so I cant be riding around with no AC for too much longer.

Lol.... ok
The first "issue" is your air ride compressor kicking on.... this is NORMAL
The second is hard to tell w/o a multimeter. Check your battery readings while the car is running... it should be around 14.4ish volts.... the car off should read 12 +/- 2 volts
Edit: There are MANY Marauder owners in the Dallas / Ft Worth area, make some friends with them.

Thanks for the quick reply, The air ride compressor is very loud, is it supposed to be loud, those 10 seconds are embarrassing, if there people around i smash the gas and i let the aero turbines drown it out. Is there something I can do to make it quiter?
And my battery voltage reads 12.5 when the car is running and when the car is off, its a 0 does this mean I need a new battery?
And i have been trying to find other Marauder owners around Dallas in here and havent been having any luck.

I took mine into the dealer to quiet the air compressor. They re-located it's mounting points a little. The noise is less but not as much as I had hoped. It is a common complaint and, yes, it is embarrassing.
Can't help on the charging situation but does not sound good. You should have both the alternator and the battery checked. Normal running voltage (measured from the on line diagnostics port) is a little over 14 in cold weather and a little under 14 in warm weather.

normal charging voltage is between 13.8v - 14.4v
12.5 is too low. get your charging system looked at
1.) No.
2.) No.
Welcome aboard.

You should be able to hear the compressor in the cabin... if it is REALLY loud, it is probably on its way out and ready to quit on you

The air compressor in Phoebe had been slowly getting louder as well, to the point that it is sort of embarrassing. I know there's a company that sells them new for a LOT less than the dealer, I just need to do some more research.
Maybe someone like JACook who figured out the EATC module fix would be willing to look into a DIY rebuild/fix for this issue, too.

There was a thread about disassembling the compressor and taking it apart to clean it up.
How about removing the white plastic "muffler" on the header panel? It's located right behind the left headlight in the engine compartment.

Why would you remove that?

Thanks for all the feedback, I will have my battery and alternator checked out tomorrow, I can deal with the noise from the air ride compressor, but i cant deal with no AC in Texas, thats like suicide or a soaked back everytime you get outa the car. I juist found out that I can cut the AC on while im driving but there is a strange slipping noise coming from the AC compressor like its slipping, o and i bet not dare try to cut the AC on if the car is on and just sitting, the battery volt drop and car cuts off. And if anyone knows of a good mechanic around the Dallas are that know what a marauder is please relay his contact info to me.

To quite the air compressor or at least change the sound.

Sounds like your definately havng a charging problem..Like the above posts, get the charging system checked out..As far as the air compressor, if your capable of doing this. Inspect the air compressor while its off and running..It may be possible that the rubber insulators are worn out.. MAYBE.. That or the pump is on its way out..
