this has the biggest MAFS right? and for 130$ you cant go wrong right? LOL!
does this require a tune? i will be getting one from reinhart.. but i may want to get this first.
or can the stock tune "figure" this out.

After asking for similar advice, I put on a K&N. Very happy with it. About an hour to install, including deciphering some of the instructions. LOL

For most minor changes you make to the car like a cold air inteake system the PCM will learn how to work with that part after about 30 minutes of driving as long as you are not changing anything major.
Exhaust, CAI, plugs, coils stuff like that you are usualy good to go.
It's when you get into gears, fuel injectors and so forth that are actual size and type changes you need to have someone program that into the PCM and make sure everything is cool.

There may be other vendors out there that can do a better deal, but going right to the source should get you a decent price.
I think you'll like the JLT. Are you considering the chrome cover?

I bought a used K&N for $130 and I really like it. Sounds good + looks good + I did get faster at the track.
If I was buying new, I probably would have went with the JLT because of the price.

when looking at your signature, your marauder has a tune, and a bigger intake..
what kind of increases do you see with these two additions?

what kind of increases do you see with these two additions? Running just the tune, and a fairly full trunk organizer in the trunk, and with my big back tires, I was running 15.20 in 80-degree weather.
Without the trunk organizer, and with the K&N, I went 14.5 in 60-degree weather.

I have a K&M and love it!
Be sure to clean the MAF and IAC every once in a while with MAF Cleaner... The oils from the air filter will find their way to these censors.
