Over a year ago, professional photographer Jeff Creech shot my Marauder for Modified Mustangs and Fords. Unfortunately, by the time the article was written, the magazine had switched formats to classic Fords.

At least I got some amazing pictures from an amazing photographer.

Wow! Amazing shots! Thanks for posting. About the time they switched format is about the time I got totally fed up and cancelled my subscription. They also turned Jo DaSilva loose from the tech page so that was one more reason I had to leave.
Were you driving for those shots? How long did it take? How many photos were taken to get these? Are there any more?

Yes, I was stunned with the results. Photo editing removed some buildings in the background and darkened the overall mood of the pics.

He took these shots on an overcast afternoon and didn't finish until after dark. In fact most of the interior and all of the engine shots were done after the sun had gone down.

He had a ton of lighting, rigging, etc... packed into a small Acura hatchback.

The car was in motion but I am not sure if he wants all his techniques explained. Plus, I am sure the photo buffs on here know how he did it.

He took plenty of shots and what I posted on Supermotors are all he deemed fit to publish. I wish there were more.

great photos, so I literally subscribed for the mag specifically because of the format and my first official issue was when they switched. I felt so taken, man I was mad, oh well... Now I am getting mags with cars I could care less about (no offense to those old mustang lovers), I was so looking forwarding to seeing more 4.6 stuff....

But yeah those photos are awesome, at least you got those!

Steve I see 6 small grains of dust on the shifter housing. I can't believe you didn't wipe the car down before he took pictures.:D:lol: Great pictures by the way. Sorry you didn't get to see them in print. Now get out there and clean up that car.;)

Love the pictures. Amazing what a professional photographer can do. In the future I'd like to see a nice curvy brunette wearing a bikini on roller blades beside the MM looking into the engine bay checking the oil or something like that.

Thanks for the compliments. I had the easy part: Show up with detailed Marauder. Jeff had the tough part staging, lighting, shooting, and editing.

It's a shame the article wasn't published because I made it as much about MM.net, how many Marauders are boosted, and the Marauder's history as the article detailed my specific model. I really wanted to bring more exposure to our passion.

Figures someone would find the few specs of dust. That's what a great camera and lense will expose, I guess.

The valve covers do bring up some interesting comments.

Doom, I have the godshead caps but the "waterfall" ones are for driving duties.

That's a very real possibility. ;)

I figure most people don't think about or know the old Mercury's had yellow valve covers.
