For each extra thing in the truck that's one less body you'll be able to fit:lol:

IF you are going to drag race, the battery must be in a closed NHRA approved box.

Get a spare taillight and put it where it's most convenient. You can always take the handle off and and reinstall the unmodified taillight for street duty

Since you have electric trunk release, would the diameter of the handle let it fit the hole where the trunk lock cylinder is? You wouldn't have to drill any extra holes and would be stealth. But then again, you probably already have a backup camera there.

So your talking about mounting the switch on the underside of the trunk lid and run the rod through the key hole?

that dosent seem like it would be very difficult to mount to the deck lid.

Matt, he is saying mount the switch on the trunk lid and then run the wires along the hinge like the other wires, there are also other types of cut offs out there.

If you install a "push-pull" type of switch, the "push" has to be the action that shuts off the electrical thus, in everyday driving the rod must be in the outermost position. This will leave is susceptible to vandalism. (If you are going to run on the track)

That's why you remove the rod when not at the track...

I thought about drilling a hole behind the license plate and mounting the switch attached to the trunk lid. When you want to race remove the plate and intall the extension arm on the switch. When your not racing remove the arm and get a rubber plug to cover the hole and then put the license plate back on. My only concern is the weight and extra lengh of wire on the trunk lid preventing it from staying open. I havnt really done much research on this the trunk latch may be in the way but it may be an idea.
