im in the process of buying a tuner. should be here tomorow actually so i decided to really drive my car to get a good feel before i hit it with the tune. and i know the lidios tune among others raise the rev limiter to around 6200 to keep the marauder in their powerband. but after driving my marauder today. i realized my car at close to or at wot, shifts anywhere from 6000-6200 maybe even a tad more. so why does every one claim they raise it from factory with a tune?. does this mean my car was tuned by a previous owner? or was the shift points changed by some one? the car was bonee stock when i got it. or atleast i think it was. so im just curious. is this normal..do all mm shift at these rpms.. or is this a result of some previous tampering.
One sure way yo tell if the car was tuned is to see if it still locks the torque converter part way through second gear. I think most tunes address this issue which most of us dislike. Also if your in fourth gear gear by about 40 mph with the torque converter locked I would think you have a stock tune.
just my .02 cents.

yeah thats the main reason why i ordered the tune and tunner . i hate how fast the car shifts and how soon the t/c locks up. so that was my first thought in thinking i dont have a tune . but still not sure about the high revs. tonight i honestly though i saw my tach hit almost 6500rpms...so im just curious what it should be. and when i do get my tuner. should i try and lower my revs a little
Check your idle speed. Most if not all "canned tunes" raise the idle to about 700-750 RPMs. Stock is about 500 RPM's.
