As I understand it your kit was delivered to Alternative Automotive on week one but without the blower. A certain shop mechanic was informed that the kit was short the blower but that it would be delivered separately on or about week two.

That mechanic apparantly did not communicate this to Lideo.

However, you seem to have been in contact with Trilogy recently (last day or two), where you found out that about the snout bearing problem and was offered a polished blower which did not meet with your requirements. Is this correct?

I assume you will post your complaint in the Trilogy Forum at Motor City Marauders, where you are also a member, since Trilogy doesn't have a presence here.

Because you decided to make this public we should be able to get both sides of this issue. Wouldn't that be fair?

Regards,

Regards,
The machanic in question thought that Jerry or jerry son would have told him of the situation but niether of them did?? either way it's Jerry or Jerry son which is responsible to tell Lidio the onwer of the buissness and not the employee as Lidio is wiriting the cheque!

Jerry states there is a bearing issue with the snout from Magunson, and yes I did not want a polished one.

Yes I will post this in motor city site as well
Some time has passed why would Trilogy contact the party that is short a blower as to keep them up to speed of whats is going on.

Either way he's paid in full and the kit less a blower= FAIL!

I'm wondering if this is not the begining of the end for Trilogy. I called 2 weeks ago, got voicemail everytime from 8am to 5pm on a Tuesday. All I wanted was to find out if they had shorter belts since the Napa's here seem to have issues ordering Gates belts. Left 2 voicemails, and one email. Nothing ever returned.

Sorry you are having delays in getting your part.
This is the first time I've heard that a T kit, did not come complete.

Only once in 200+ kits, I realize that does not help your cause nor does it excuse the communication breakdown.
But, Ya gotta' like the offer for the polished blower, What' da ya' nuts? trade it for a satin & some X-tra $$$,.. you're gonna' need it for rear tires :burnout:

This proves he had no knoledge that the kit was short till this morning.
The bigger B/S of it all is that we can't even get one from him till maybe Friday as Magunson is having problems with the snout bearing or some thing as jerry stated??? Sound fishy to me that magunson is having problems with the same blower they being producing for years all of a sudden there's a problem?

He did offer to give me a polished on at no extra charge to me for the inconvence, But thats not what I wanted I want a satin one, the polishing will be too much up keep as all i want as little maintenance under the hood as possilbe.

SUCK IN LIMBO!!!!

Sorry to hear you are having problems. Jerry has a reputation on making thinks right. Sometimes it takes years for a problem to manifest itself. I think I have a shout bearing issue and will be removing my blower and sending out to service. It will be available for sell when it returns from Magunson. I have already purchased a replacement blower and no need for the MP-122.

The fact he offered you polished one is a vendors way of making it up to you. That should show you he cares about your situation.
Maybe you should have vented about this after everything was all said and done. Chances are, your wait time just got increased thanks to this thread.

Will the plenum be available too? Could be a good option for one of the Eaton conversion guys.

First off, you allways pay in full before you recieve anything. Second, this is a communication breakdown between Lidio and the mechanic. I'm sorry, but if the mechanic failed to tell Lidio, and just figured Jerry told him also, then there really needs to be more talk between owner and worker and less "but I thoughts" he said she said business. Jerry and Lidio have allways been there for me whenever needed, sometimes really hard to get ahold of i agree, and forget all about the website/emails, thats been a known fact for years, but a couple phone calls or PM's has allways worked for me.

This sucks, no matter who's fault it is indeed, but it will soon be behind you, and you will have no regrets. You are dealing with a couple great guys, something just went wrong, they will get you taken care of. Not too sure if i'd attend an open house now if I was you after they allready tried to make amends and you still dragged their name in the mud.

I hear your pain, Hotford. Your post and others mentioning that Trilogy doesn't get back and no one answers the phone should understand that Trilogy International is a consulting engineering company contracting to the automobile manufacturers. Any understanding of what is happening in that industry should explain that they are fighting for their lives working their asses off 60 to 80 hours a week and no one is at the office most of the time. Our connection to Trilogy is actually a connection to Jerry's hobby. Not an excuse just a reality. Sometimes even the best of intentions are not enough, and sometimes miscommunications are just that. Try to chill, both Lidio and Jerry have earned their reputations for taking care of their customers. They will take care of you as they have already offered. Sorry for your disappointment and sorry that you felt it necessary to trash good people who have your best interests at heart. Dennis

WOW, my account is still open. AMAZING!!!!

O.K. let me go through the story to tell you the truth about the situation.

And Chris, thanks for calling me. I remember a couple of months ago you called every week to get a discount and now that you are having a problem, you forgot my number?

First, I did tell Lidio that the kit did not have the supercharger. I told him on the phone a couple of weeks ago and he forgot. My son told the mechanic and he forgot. Lidio has been very busy and it probably slipped his mind trying to get Customers cars done quickly because everyone is impatient.

Second, I did delivery the kit without the supercharger because Lidio told me he wanted to start work on the car and the supercharger was one of the last pieces to go on. I think he was trying to accommodate your schedule. Me personally, I would have told you to wait until everything was complete.

Third, I was told by Magnesun that they were having a quality issue with the porosity of the supercharger snouts and we did not want to put a substandard product on your car. We are funny like that.

Fourth, I offered to put a Polished Supercharger on your car, that was going on MY CAR at no additional cost to you, to help meet the installation schedule. And those aren't cheap!!!

Fifth. the superchargers shipped from Magnesun on 04/22 and will arrive today or tomorrow at which time I will get them machined by the end of the week, I hope, to get your car complete.

Sixth, but, if you are unhappy, I will refund your money and you can have Lidio put a Vortech on your car. I have 4 other Customers waiting for a kit.

I am not very happy with a Customer that calls me all the time and then when there is a communication issue they go to another website to complain. You do not have to buy our product and once again I will refund your money immediately. Let me know what you want to do.

Thank you to the Owners of Mercury Marauder.Net for letting me post my reply.

Jerry Barnes is a man of his' word and if he says there was a problem getting the blower then that's good enough for me and alot of people on both sites. Plus he offered you a $350 minimum upgrade for a polished blower for your inconveniance and you are still not happy.......

Everyone understands that stuff happens and it's better to make sure the parts are good to go than end up with a blown part and down time further down the line.

I have seen and heard of your quality control and customer handling on MotorCityMarauders with threads from owners of your kits and I knew it was just a misunderstanding and miscomunication.

Just the fact your still handling stuff for the Marauder and havn't droped the ball is apreciated by meny.

It was a present and he waited to do this for a long time so any disapontment can be a bit devistating to say the least but he could have handled it another way.

Don't let this discourage you or frown upon doing it for other Marauder owners in the future.

My very, very good friend Dennis is absolutely right. We have been spending all of our time keeping our main business afloat during these very difficult times in Michigan.

If you call our office, your call should be routed to my cell phone, but sometimes I am in meetings and cannot answer your calls right away.

So, if you need me for ANYTHING, please call me on my cell phone at (248)877-2792. I shut it off when I go to bed, but it is on all the rest of the time.

If you need to order a part, please go to your Installation Manual and send me an email with the parts you need. jbarnes@trilogyintl.com

If you are buying a standard part like a hose or a fan belt. Take the part to NAPA, Autozone, Pep Boys, etc. with the part number and they will probably sell it to you cheaper then I can.

I apologize for any troubles people may have had contacting us. I use to have an office full of people to handle this type of stuff, but they are all gone now. The rest of us are working on billable projects offsite. I will try to do a better job of getting back to people as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your patience!!!!

well posting negatively about the fact that the kit was paid in full and not receiving a complete kit: I beleive that lidio had no idea and my intention was not to drag people in the mud:Lidio and i have been long friends and i dont hold him responsible at all. more than likely there was a mis-communication from both sides that was completely innocent now that i have a change to look back on things, I guess i jumped the gun and let my emotions get the better of me when i was up all night thinking about it.I apologize for my behaviour and being an ass about things( I can and will admit when i mess up).Jerry sorry for going overboard on this we all know that you have a great product this is the reasoning for going with it.I like to apologize to all the MM members as well for my childish behaviour and hope we can put this behind us.I guess being human makes us all equal and people deserve the chance to make things right, next time i will know better Chris.

Hotford,

No apology is necessary. Just call me in the future if there is something I have done wrong. I am not perfect and I also make mistakes, but we are a close community of car owners and it is important to play well together.

Yes, a Supercharger Kit is a lot of money and people get nervous sending someone $6,000 before they get the kit. I completely understand that. I hope my many years of dealing with Marauder owners and our reputation give you some reassurance.

Yes, once the money is send you want to see immediate results. I am the same way. But, as many have pointed out in this thread, these are low volume, custom made, complex pieces off equipment so I don't have them sitting on a shelf. Some patience is required based on the way we do business.

I don't even start building a kit until the Customer has paid the invoice in full. Sorry, past experience has taught me I cannot do it any other way.

Yes, we do have problems with our Suppliers. They are good people, but unforeseen problems occur which affects our timing. We base our shipments on their commitments to us. And once and a while something happens that causes all of us problems.

Yes, I have written things on this site and others that I wish I had never said. And, I have had to apologize to people for my angry fingers getting the best of me. It happens to all of us.

If I don't deliver on giving you a good product, then you have every right to kick my butt on these sites. I completely understand that. But, you and I have spoken many times and if there is a problem, just call me. simple!

As much as Lidio and I are good friends, his installation schedule and our kit assembly schedule don't always agree. He has pressure from his customers to get things done and we always try our best to accommodate his timing. Sometimes that doesn't happen.

I notice you called my cell phone several times last night. I am sorry I did not answer, it was a nice evening and I needed to go for a ride on my Harley. I will call you a little later today so we can talk.

The Supercharger is getting machined and should be done tomorrow. I will have it to Lidio's by Friday.

I want to thank everyone for their support in this thread. It was nice to talk to everyone again. I will try to participate more in the future.

Thanks again!!

I don't have my Marauder anymore, but since I have been the recipient of TWO Trilogy superchargers; one purchased and one won in a raffle, I would be game for a third if Jerry could sell me a slightly modified version for my bike!:burnout:
I think a Trilogy Group Buy would really bring this together.:D
