Fellahs!!!!
bought a pioneer 710BT navigation unit... and my subwolfer has been sacrificed due to the speaker configuration
now, it has a "subwolfer out" RCA plug.. but i dont know how to marry that to the existing wiring setup.
but my main concern, is my steering control module doesnt work now. and AMAZON.com has http://www.amazon.com/PAC-SWI-PS-Steering-control-interface/dp/B000AXW7SA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1272437131&sr=8-2#moreAboutThisProduct
this unit looks like it "solves the issue"
but im curious if anyone has the wiring diagrams for this unit, on how to turn that harness into making this little box work.
plus... their are two harnesses other then the main big harness... if anyone can put those into perspective.. id appreciate it :)

The PAC-SWI unit should come with instructions. If not they can be found on their website. I have one for my AVIC-D2 and have yet to get it to work, very tricky to program.
As for the subwoofer, I removed my stock unit and installed an Infinity Basslink. Got mine on eBay. If you don't need teeth rattling bass it works good and fits on the spare tire shelf. Easy to wire up using part of the factory sub harness and the subwoofer output from the headunit. If your going to it on the spare tire shelf remember the gas tank is right below the shelf so don't drill or screw into it.
I also took the time to install some sound deadening material.
My Infinity Basslink installation:

The big main harness is for the radio. The two smaller harnesses are for the sub woofer and the cd changer.
I have the PAC 2 unit. Works better then the PAC 1 unit. Its very easy to install, directions are included. Marauder is listed in their diagram to setup the unit.
Only three wires, power and ground to the unit, and another wire that goes to the main stereo harness for the actual data.
Well worth it to have the steering wheel controls. On my other car, I actually adjusted the buttons to do another functions then what they had listed. I did not have patience this time when I did it, so I left it as is.
You DO NOT need any resistors or that crap for these cars. Also, there are a lot of wires, but keep in mind we only need one. The rest I would twist tie to keep out of the way.
Another tip: Wire the box to run either behind the gauge pods or under the dash you have access to. Gives your radio breathing room and easier to program.
Let me know if you have any questions.
FYI: If you did not pick up your harness yet, you can find them on ebay as well. Don't go to best buy, did not have a good experience with their stock. They carry the cd changer harness, but not the main harness :shake:.

How does the Infinity Basslink compare to the stock unit? Will it wire right in to the stock wires?

I think it's much better than the stock unit. If you don't need teeth-loosening bass this is the ticket.......
I used the stock wires for power but used the sub-woofer output from my headunit (AVIC-D2) for the signal. I'm sure you can use the stock wires.

I still have the sheet in the car, I will grab it after I get back from Lowe's (picking up a new welder :D). It is a little tricky with the time limit it has and junk.
