Picked up an rear axle girdle with no installation instructions. What are the torque settings for the supports on the bearing caps? THANKS!

Sounds about right. Thanks! Thought I recalled about 10 ft lbs, but thought I'd ask the experts.

when I installed mine I just tightend it to a snug setting with the ratchet and then tightend the nuts to keep them in place.

Mine did not come with a sugested torque setting either.

I believe it's 5 ft pounds. What you want to do it just snug them up to the bearing caps. Also remove the supports and wrap them with teflon tape to prevent leaks.

I bought a TA Performance cover which is the same as the Ford Racing one also.

From TA Performance Differential Girdle Instructions sheet
1. Torque mounting bolts to 25 ft/lb (max)
2. Screw the two load bolts in by hand until they make contact with the bearing caps.
2. Torque the load bolts to 5 ft/lbs (60 in/lbs) MAXIMUM, excessive torque will result in distorted bearing caps. DO NOT OVER TORQUE THE LOAD BOLTS! Then snug the jamb nuts to lock the Load Bolts.

If you can find a picture of what yours looks like or actually take a picture of yours that will help also. I can take a picture of the instruction sheet tomorrow and post it.

Mine looks like this, purchased it from Wes.
