It's where everyone in the truck driver pool gets to take the car for a "spin". :D

I suspect next week we'll see a rash of new members, all car-transport drivers, reporting how the 2004s will smoke the tires easily right off the line, and will repeatedly bark the tires on the 1-2 shift. Maybe one or two will mention an incorrectly sized rear wheel, if we're lucky. ;)

This is entirely possible. My Marauder was delivered to our local truckstop off I-85 in Anderson, SC at 12:15 AM, Sunday morning, August 10th. It was very emotional to say the least !!!

Cobrajack, there might be the possibility that we'll be able to take delivery of our Marauder's at the same time! Mine is supposed to arrive tomarrow morning, but since it's going to get the undercoating, leather, and paint protectant put on, i'll be able to take delivery of it Friday morning! Mine is expected to be in tomarrow morning, and I just might cry if it doesn't arrive again as it was supposed to be here 2 monday's ago...............

I've already taken care of all of the paperwork, and my car is already over a week and a half late arriving :(

junehhan.....

I just had a horrible thought!!!:( :(

What if the "transit inspection" is actually a huge body shop that repairs damaged cars before they get to the dealer?? That may account for the delays we are seeing??:help:

Inspect your car thoroughly...I am going today to get a loaner from my dealer until mine comes in and ask that specific question!!

Hope it gets here soon......These delays really set my imagination in motion!!

Good Luck To You....And Me!!
Marauderjack:cool: :D

PS: Thanks to Logan for changing my screen name from Cobrajack to......Marauderjack:coolman:

Marauderjack, I hope your car will be just the way you expect it to be. It is likely true that it will be.

Enjoy and have a great time.

I know that in Maryland the dealer has to report to you any damage that your car recieved in transit. Check with your dealer, I ask mune flat out because it was over three weeks late if it had received any damage between the factory and dealership.

This is getting WEIRD!!!!!

I went to the dealer and asked him to check on the delivery of tomorrow one more time??

The printout cahnged the delivery date from 11-21 to 11-27??!! Thanksgiving??

Called the transport company in Columbia where the car was reported to be on 11-17. They say they have no record of the car being there yet?? :(

My dealer gave me a Taurus to drive and said he would call me in an hour or so with some "Straight Answers"???:help: :mad2:

Not sounding too good with the delays others have had!!:flamer:

Marauderjack,
I know your "frustration quotient" is huge right about now...
Anybody's would...
Anticipation is brutal...
However, be patient...MM's are worth waiting for !
I waited 16 months for a DTR !
My DTR surpasses expectations, BIG TIME !
Besides, once you're sleek Silver one arrives, your frustration quotient will be just a distant memory...

Damnit.............

My Marauder didn't arrive on the truck this morning, and they were garenteed that they would recieve it today. They said it's possible that it might arrive on another truck later today, but most of their Mercury shipments usually come early in the morning as they said. If it comes later today, I could still take delivery of it by Saturday, but if it comes tomarrow, that means it will have to wait to the next week.............

The Marauder is nearly 2 weeks late now..................

They CANNOT FIND MY CAR!!!!:mad2:

It is not in Columbia and the yard guy says he is getting 8 rail cars at 4:00 PM and to call back?? What is going on???:help:

I think something happened to it and they are covering their butts!!!:flamer:

Well....I have an '02 Taurus for a $1000 deposit!!!:D Wonder what a "chop shop" will give me for it???:P

Maybe I'll get some news after 4:00??

Patience IS NOT one of my virtues....though I'm better than I used to be??

Maybe....Marauderjack??:(

Well, my dealer doesn't have a clue now where my car went :(

It was supposed to arrive today, but it never did, even though I was garenteed that it would arrive. They said they'll call me tomarrow morning because they said they need to start some sort of trace on my Marauder. My vehicle is now nearly 2 weeks late arriving, and patience is not one of my virtues either...........

At least the dealer provided you with transportation. That is better than most. The wait will be worth it.

I honestly hope not. It is wierd how we are both experiencing the same problem, even though Cobrajack lives way down in South Carolina which is a good ways from me here in Cincinnati, OHIO.

The story I am getting is that there was a GM with a similar VIN and it was the one in Columbia last Monday??

The lady my dealer talked with got it wrong and my car is on a railcar somewhere!! Brian at Allied Carriers says it could be in over the weekend??:help:

Funny thing is another salesman at the dealership said he has 2 F-150's that are a week late and last he heard they would be in late next week......They both arrived yesterday afternoon!!?? GO FIGURE!!:flamer:

Everyone says that once a car is on a truck it is not possible to track it for 24 hours........BTW, the transport company (Allied) is a very protective "UNION OPERATION"!!! The "prosecution" rests your honor!!;) :D

I may have to take Logan's advice and buy one off the lot in Dallas??

Well DAMNIT..........

It didn't arrive today, and they said they've tried to get in touch with the truck transport company which they said isn't giving them any information at this point in time. They said they have no clue where it is, and the truck company isn't telling them where the truck with my Marauder is at this point in time.
