Marauder Rick

i brought mine out past the blower belt. some people dont like it that way, but i love it. it still looks neat and there is almost NO welding necessary (unless you're doing the cooling mod). i just had tabs welded onto my tubes so they can be secured into the heads.

Hey Guys, when you have a problem such as grinding the bracket please let me know so I can make corrections. Dave let me know and I thought I had it corrected. I sounds like I need to remove a little more metal. Since I don't have a MM my ap is a little different so unless you all let me know I don't know that a change is needed.
Thanks

Yes i went with the extended COT instead of the shortened. Yes it is secured with welded tabs that are bolted down. Yes i have an unnecessarily large coolant res. No i do not have the rims in the Avatar on the car. Flame On!!!

Oh well, congrats on the newfound power. :)

Your install is nice. I would clean up all the wiring under the hood with some split loom so it looks professional, and oh yeah your pcv system is set up wrong much like every other eaton swap. You need to addresse that too.

Looks good sounds great gotta love the sound & new found power. Bet you can't wait until you get it tuned. Were did you located the IAT sensor in the intake nor did I see a rear head cool mod. I asume your battary has been installed in the trunk ? Why did you choose to install the boost a pump dial in the cabin instead of in the trunk. Then after dyno just leave it set at required demand. Are bolth ways acceptable ?
Good job!
What is supporting the crossover tube?
FYI the correct accessory belt # is 988, not the 995 you have (looks way too loose.)

These pix were in the garage. all the wires have been tubed up now.

My IAT is in its original blower spot with pins 1 and 4 connected to pins 1 and 6 on the MAF wires. I ended up capping off the large eaton vac and getting a breather. Also, i put the BAP knob in the front for looks mainly, as i never change the settings.

I have nothing to gain by telling you this but I hate to see you make a proven mistake. Again your PCV set up is wrong, even with the breather. The stock MM pcv valve will allow oil to flow into your cold air duct and eventually into your intake track and SC/intercooler. The breather will coat the cam cover with blown oil and here's why. On a Cobra the PVC flows clean air in on the PS and dirty air out to the intake on the DS. A Cobra pcv valve needs to be on the DS with a hardline going to the large vacum line you plugged at the back of the SC. Drill the stock MM valve out with the largest bit you can get without damaging the outside housing. Do a search on Bawazir's pcv set up theres a video to show how Bob did it correct or look at eaton #11's set up Nuru also did it correctly. Maybe Impalaslayer will chime in on your method.

So what is the cost for this conversion, and what is the average RWHP on a stock motor what PSI are your running. It looks good. It would be awsome to see the dyno shet and data log and what are the IAT.

Means nothing to me what you do, but if you decide to go with a PCV system, here is your parts list.
Drivers side:
1. a 5/8" rubber 90 for the back of the blower.
2. a bent piece of thin wall conduit (i'll bend and supply these for anyone in need for free, you pay shipping)
3. A three inch or so piece of 5/8" straight hose (Can't remember, but I believe your stock set up has this that you can use.
4. a new PCV valve (like $12 from Ford)
Passenger side:
1. a drilled out PCV valve
2. a 5/8" piece of hose bent in a couple different directions (I believe this is also from your old set up)
Quite painless to do and no oil drip or stank.

Glad you chimed in Bob. I'd like to explain what your doing Rick. First a pcv valve is'nt designed to work backwards like your doing right now. Think about it like an intake and exhaust valve in a cylinder head. The PS is the "intake" and that pcv is pulling the clean air in with alot of restriction through a backwards pcv. The pressure builds up in the cylinder heads and the only way to relieve this pressure is the "exhaust" breather you got on the DS so oil, vapors, and relieved air pressure is being blown through that breather. Now if you want an open loop pcv get another breather and remove the pcv and put it on the PS. But if you plan on running a closed loop system rethink your set up.

This was simply a gamble on Bawazirs car, after a couple failed attempts (rear hose colapsing, car idling either too low or not returning to idle fast enough) we had this system worked out in about 30 minutes. Seeing as though I couldn't find a decent photo of a cobra to look over, it was a guessing game with lots of old parts. I'm just glad it all worked out.
One order allready in LOL. Thanks for the comments Travis.

You did pretty good for a guess Bob! I researched and resurched for Impalaslayer's set up. I also had the same R&D on my catch cans with the hose collapsing.

What ever they charge. I'm sure it would be at or near $5.00??? It's quite small and super light weight. Probably just ship them in one of those one price boxs or envelopes.

well i dyno Monday and it has been a hassle getting that date. Is it ok for a dyno with the breather. I would REALLY rather not attempt to push back this date.
P.S. PM me your paypal email so i can throw u some money
