Well this man showed up Saturday with his immaculate GT 500 KR the car has 3500 miles on it and it is basically stock except for the KR upgrades, I did three pulls. First pull was in fourth gear and hit the rev limit at 6300, second pull was dead on and he asked for a third pull in high gear and the car ran 148 MPH that is why the last pull power is down because it was in 6th gear.

So the gearing does have an effect on RWHP.
I was under the impression that it didn't effect it much but 486 vs. 343 ??? That is 143 hp difference from a gear change!
So that means two cars with equally power but one with 4.10 gears and the other with 3.55. The car with 4.10 will dyno with more RWHP?

Not rear gears, transmision gear, normally you do your runs in fourth gear, he hit the rev limit before his top speed so I did the last pull in sixth gear and it ran 148 mph

I like shelbys and would some day probally get one maybe in 3-4 years. It's a real Nice car That just needs some nice weight reduction to take advantage of all it's performance.

This car with simple bolt on's and a tune, will make allmost 600 RWHP.

If I may ask Dennis what happend on the first pull video that caused it to back fire once you let off the throttle?

Sure you can Leo, if you read the post I stated it hit the rev limit in fourth gear and if you look at the dyno sheet it was about 6300 rpm. He wanted to know what the speed limit was, so I did a sixth gear pull and it was 148 MPH at 4500 RPM

Dennis:
Beautiful car - Do you think the GT500 would be 550+ HP at the crank?

448RWHP plus 10% = 492.8 close enough for me.
With a TB.

and pulley and a tune the car would be close to 600 RWHP. These cars do well with headers as well.
