Reminder for those with self oiling centrifical superchargers to change your oil regularly. Follow manufacturers recommended schedule.

Mine is due now and since it's going to be a nice day it's first on my agenda with the engine is cold.

Happy motoring??? nah, Happy supercharging??? nah, Happy tire smoking??? nah, Happy acceleration..........maybe. LOL

Regards,

Pat

better to change it when it's HOT

My thinking is that the fluid would drain to the lowest point (that's where my drain hose is), collect there and all would come out.

The fluid for my Nove 1200 is a not a petroleum based product but a synthetic lubricant. Recommended change is 7.5K miles.

Don't know about the Trilogy product, I'm sure someone more familiar can guide you.

What is your rationale for a hot lube drain? May have something I need to know.

Drain it warm. There will be more "stuff" in suspension than when cold.

Trilogy says the fluid only needs to be changed at 100,000 miles. It's synthetic and probably the same fluid as Ford used for the Eaton M90 in the Thunderbird SC, which spec'd checking the level every 60,000.

:dunno: Until it seizes or self-destructs.

My Paxton Novi quieted down after the oil change. Old oil didn't look too bad, a little darker than new, didn't see any obvious pieces "floating" around.

About 20K. It was installed in March/April 07 IIRC.

I change my Procharger every 6000 miles. Quick tip: I use a hand operated vaccuum pump to get the majority of the oil out, then remove the drain plug to get the rest out.
