I am aware that more metal needs to be removed from the Alt bracket to clear the WP pulley, in the future this will be done.

Marauder Rick has also told me he had to shim the tensioner with two washers to get it centered on the belt. Has anyone else had that or other problems?

i just used two washers as spacers on each post (6 washers total) and all was fine. The washers collectively add approx. 1/8", which is perfect

I had to shim mine to. The problem is though it gets tight when you try to remove the breaker bar from the belt tensioner it gets jammed betewwen the tensioner and the fan shroud.

Are all of you using two washers under the tensioner?

The tensioner is close to the fan shroud, when you put the belt on it is hard to remove the breaker bar from the tensioner beacuse it get stuck between the tensioner and the fan shroud.

I hope more people reply I am trying to figure out if they have always needed shimmed or just a few. I hate to make a change and then have it be wrong.

I ended up taking a 1/16" off the top leg. Didn't know others were having issues, just figured it was my setup.

Would these work on a Lincoln Avaitor?

I thought I heard someone did an Eaton swap on an avaitor already...??

yep, definitely different. uses a 3 bolt tensioner

so a timing cover swap would be necessary... I wonder if everything else would work out... hood clearance, etc...

You also will need to change the balancer. The Marauder has a special balancer that is also different from the Aviator (and earlier Cobras and 03/04 Mach 1s).

I looked for several weeks for a balancer that has the same puller bolt pattern as the Marauder/03-04 Cobra/Lightning. The puller bolt holes are on about a 3.2" center while the other 4.6s are on about a 2.8" center. I had a guy measure the Aviator balancer for me and it's the same as the 96-01 Cobra - 2.8" bolt pattern. The Marauder definitely has a unique balancer. The others also don't have the machined flat spots at the bolt holes the Marauder/03-04 Cobra/Lightning do.
