Hello all,
I'd like to do the boost sensitive fprs, and I just wanted to make sure that I have the right sensor. This is the vacuum hose that needs to be T'd at the lower intake with the boost gauge, correct?

And that original hose needs to be capped off?
Also, I recently installed my Kooks headers (sans EGR), and plan on installing my 3.2" pulley. I know I need to get a dyno tune done, but it won't be for a couple of weeks (that darn money thing). With the fprs mod, will I be able to drive the car with partial boost, no WOT, or should I just keep my foot out of it until I can get on a dyno? Should I also adjust anything on the BAP? It's currently set to 10.
TIA,

I thought this was taken care of a long time ago, or was that just the IAT relocation?

Don't wait to long on getting a tune? :twocents:

The IAT location was taken care of. I'm not aware of the FPRS being changed. It wasn't indicated in my install manual.

This is an absolute must do in my opinion for modified Trilogys. But, it must be provided for in the tune otherwise it does no good. Unfortunately not many tuners are going to know what to do to make it work.
Yes, you cap off the original hose that had the nice molded right angle hood. I would not complete the mod until you are at the tuners. You can install the "T" fitting and run the hose to the FRPS until you are at the tuners and just connect the hoses up. For any detailed questions contact Dennis Reinhart - he is very familar with this mod and the necessary tuning that needs to be done.
With all your work I would not go WOT until your tune.

Exactly right, myself and Scott took care of Glenn at Team Ford, Jerry dialed in and the car, and I think Glenn will testify the car has never run safer or better. If you look in my forum I have detailed pictures as to how to do this, the FRPS must be boost sensitive and it is worth the labor to pull the S/C and install the IAT in the lower intake. With a re'tune you will gain 40 plus safe RWHP. I want to in the future also try and modify the lower intake to keep the knock sensors in the valley instead of installing them at the back of the cylinder head.

With only the FRPS change, you should be able to drive like normal. You'll have more fuel pressure under boost so it may run rich, but that's a lot safer than running lean.
If you change the pulley to increase the boost, for sure keep your foot out of it until you get tune. It may be ok to drive normally if you run race gas, but no sense taking chances.

Hi all,
Thank you for all the replies! I won't change the pulley until I'm ready for the dyno, but I think I'll run the vacuum line for the FPRS. Rummaging around my parts bins I actually have everything to add the "T". My lower intake already had the hole for the IAT. I haven't gone WOT with the Kooks installed, I'm not sure if it'll lean out in the top end. The most I've gone is 1/2 @ 5psi, and even that's a hairy ride.
