Some after market one's come with a lifetime guarantee against warping and so forth so it might be a good idea to go with that.

Just depends on what you want to pay.

Raybestos super stops come with a lifetime and are drilled and slotted directionals.

EBC comes with a lifetime and are dimpled and slotted directionals.

I've had EBC rotors and they warped in about 10k miles, all they had to say to me was "So sorry about your luck, we can transfer you to our sales department if you'd like to buy another pair of our rotors."

If your car doesn't have a S/C on it go with OEM and add in some stainless steel brake lines.

WOW that is a shock.

Who did you get them through? A guy I know with a Lexus bought them through autopartswarehouse he thought they warped but it was just pad high spot residue causing the pulsation and they sent him another set with no questions asked once he sent them a copy of the reciept.

Bought mine from the same place with EBC green stuff pads, oh no these were warped. Had them turned once by a shop that had the special tool for dimpled/slotted rotors, got rid of the green stuff pads and got Napa Ceramix pads and they warped again in about 7k miles. I've had zero issues with OEM stuff since then.

DR was also selling kits front and rear rotors/yellow stuff pads and some of those people who bought the kit he sold had warped rotors as well. This was all about maybe 3-4 years ago

They must have goofed on the hardening process when they made them.

I havn't run any on a heavy car just on the Taurus and the guy I know with the Lexus.

So far the Taurus has been fine and as I said with the Lexus the place he bought them through replaced them without a single thought about it and did not want the old one's back.

Yeah if I were to get another set it would be some Power Slot Cryo treated rotors.

I've got the Powerslot Cryo treated front and Command rear rotors with Napa Ceramix pads. So far, so good.

I've had the rotors for a while. I got them from Wchain. PM him for a quote. As for the pads, I got them from a local member. And yes, you can use OEM pads with them. I had CVPI pads to install with them but were 3X as dusty.

i've got EBC rotors and while they haven't warped yet (20,xxxkms) they do make an annoying sound when braking which i assume all dimpled/drilled or slotted rotors make. my next set will probably be Motorcraft

After 7 years I don't see why you're so shocked that the rotors are pitted, especially with such little miles that means the car sits a lot and give surface rust plenty of time to damage the rotors.

R1 concepts slotted and drilled rotors and ceramic pads ran me $280 on ebay for all 4 wheels. Car stops fantastic now.

If the car is going to continue to sit a lot, save your money and buy all OEM stuff.

Just recently did all four wheels. I went with Command cryo rotors & Hawk semi metalic pads. Love the rotors but the pads are very dusty & sweak under light pressure. I may change over to OEM pads not worth the money even if they were free.

I've had the Hawk ferro-carbon HPS pads for a while now, and they are great. The only time they will start to squeek is when I go out racing making continuous stops from 80-0. Even then they only squeek under very light pressure, and as soon as you drive a few miles normally the squeeking will go away.

I've got slotted/dimpled rotors from rotorpros, so far they've been great but yeah I hate the noise you get from slotted rotors. Sounds like shhhhhhhhhh when you're braking :mad2:
