Heard some noise from out back, so I brought the Marauder to Team Toyland Saturday for an inspection from Senior Master Tech and overall Ford Wizard Scott Levine........
When we broke it down, it was thought that the clutch plates were shot, but upon a more detailed inspection from Scott, the back side of the pinion gear snapped a tooth or two...... :bigcry:
Scott cleaned out the housing and the tubes, inspected all the other parts, and with some parts he had in inventory, has the Banshee ready for action:bows: again.
Pinion Gear......... Who would a thunk it. Too much :burnout::burnout: I guess:lol:
Thanks Scott:banana2: Nobody better to work on our cars. Period....

I've been there, done that. Three teeth just gone. It ran but the noise was ....interesting. Gave me the chance to go to 31 splines & Auburn LSD.

If I could have afforded it, I would have done exactley that Buck..... The good news was that my 28 splines were in very good shape as were all the bearings.
Scott had no worries about the components holding up on rebuild. Great news to my broke ears. hehehehe.

Got the car back Thursday night. Scott told me "when the car is cold its going to feel and sound almost like you have a locker rear end on the car".... "Don't worry about it" its just a little noise". "As everything gets broken in it will loosen up nicely". "The bonus is, the car will hook with a vengance".
Did not notice it that night, but when I went out today, sure enough the axle was making itself known..... And true to Scott's word, after letting the car warm up some and getting a clear intersection/redlight I launched it @ the go light.......
You could feel both tire bite hard just as Scott said they would (with the old gears, the car always swung left upon launch) straight as an arrow.
Thanks Scott:beer: I am very thankful for having Scott in my corner not only as a premier Senior Master Ford Technician who knows his stuff inside and out, but as a hell of a guy who is willing to work with you, and never cuts corners on his workmanship. Truely first class in every respect.
You guys in the Canton OH area, make sure you connect with Scott after he makes his move to your part of town. You can do no better.:bows: He will be missed here thats for sure.:burnout:

WHAT? Scott's leaving? When? I'm planning to come down there the 22nd, hope he's still there then so I can visit with him a bit.

A couple months Brian. Still has to sell the family house here. I'm guessing by September....
