Hello fellow Marauder chaps!

With 26000 miles, pressure at 39PSI and about 25 months, the time is coming to replace the rear tires for the 4th time!

In the past the only choice was BF Goodrich @ $119.99- $169.00!!!!!!

Now that the new Camero has the same rears the choices have thankfully expanded!

So what brand of rear tires have you guys replaced on your MM's that were NOT the BF Goodrich and what is the lowest price you have paid?!?!

Thank you very much!

Peter

The stock Camaro tire is not ZR rated. They were tried with not so good results

OEM BFGs on the front.

I think BFG's look best even if they don't last as long of perform as well as some others.

I'm running Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D3 on the rear 255/55-18. Just over $200 each. I am considering moving to the Nittos or back to BFGs on the next go around. I am at 10K on the GoodYears and suspect that I won't get 15K out of them. Was getting 20K out of the BFG rears.

OEM BFGs on the front averaging 34-36K on those.

Check post #3 for pictures of the tires, then imagine them on your Marauder.

Hint... they are black and round, with little groove thingies.

I'm running a V rated NEXAN and to be honest with you, I don't like them. The ass of the car doesn't feel the same as the BFG's. Tends to sway back and forth. Although, if you can deal with not as much grip going around of ramps and feeling the sway, the tire wear is great and the price is even better. What ever floats your boat.

Get anything 255/55/18. It's the most common size so it's the easiest to find and you will have the most amount of options. Plus if you blow a tire out and you are outta town it'll be much easier to find that size than something you have to order on-line.

I'm not looking down on anyones (I'd love to have Fastblackmers tires too) but from an everyday standpoint it makes the most since. I have Hankook 255/55/18s and they have done just fine even with the burnouts and negligent driving I do.
