The motor and cover should be the same. Are you sure the wiper arms are mounted correctly on the shafts? They're keyed to fit in a specific location, but if the key is missing, they can be mounted off a couple of splines, which will affect their positioning when shut off.

Why would it be different? Is your cousin's CV an '03 or '04? I'm not aware of any difference in the cowl covers or wiper configuration between the CV and a MM, but maybe there is.
Anybody else care to chime in and clarify?

when ever you go over 70 or 80 notice the wiper has little shake from the wind, you get this easy do modifaction problem sloved and it will look clean , so how u been CBT hows work?

Bawazir,
I agree with you 100%. The arms sticking up so high has always bugged me too. It wasn't like that on my beloved Grand Marquis!
I do think that it could be corrected by moving it down a couple splines. I think I'll try that later today.

LOL
Dude all you have to do is pop the wiper arms off and then re-adjust them to "hide" with the grooved splines.
I can tell from your pic your driver's side needs to come up just slightly and the passenger side needs to come down some.
Welcome to the year 2002, when we figured this out.

OLD, OLD news. We discussed this 7 years ago. Many of us simply bent the arms a little bit. Some folks pulled the wipers off and re-keyed them on the splines (doing away with the actual key in the process). The CV and GM are the same way for '03 and up. I believe the '02 and older had a "park" position for the wipers.

Those 2 pics are like comparing apples to oranges. The cowl grille, wiper motor, arms and blades changed for the 2003 and up model years. Anything from 2002 and back are different with wiper arms that were either U- shaped or had a post for the blade installation, a 2 piece upper wiper cowl a seperate wiper park function in the motor. When the park function fails, it either prevents the wipers from going down and/or stands them up at the top.

If you started at the beginning of the post, you'll see that there were a couple folks pointed out that the CV/GM/MM cowlings and wiper assy. were the same, and that what bawazir was proposing wouldn't result in any changes, but he kept on insisting that there were differences.
After a while, it's easy to get frustrated...
As for the attitude. Whatever.

We were all newbies once, and all of us learned pretty much the same way: Ask questions, check out links, use the search.
And yes, a lot of the same questions have been asked over and over again. Sometimes the answer you get depends on how you ask the question.

Funny thing is you go on a tirade and no one mentioned to use the search function. All Brian did was say it was old news and had been covered years ago and then he proceeded to tell Bawazir how it was fixed by other members in the past.

Let's all ignore the fact that the 2003+ Crown Victoria | Grand Marquis cowl parts ( cowl top screen, outer cowl top panel, and inner cowl top panel ) part-wise are the same as that of the 2003-4 Marauder.
So ... Turn our heads. Look away. And never speak of this again. http://www.gdmjoe.com/nonono.gif
*And ya ... I DID research the parts via parts lists for the corresponding models.

Ehh, there have been Bawazirs before he showed up. AJ was the most notable one I can remember in the nearly two years I've been a member.
There reaches a point where off-topic posting and vulgarity go from funny or no big deal, to unnecessary and inappropriate for a group like this. Unfortunately, from what I've seen lately Bawazir has crossed that line on a number of occasions, and being someone that pretty much doesn't care about that sort of thing, for me to really notice says a lot.
Plus honestly, the search function is an important part of using the internet period. You can go MILES with people that would otherwise jump your case if you can prove you've done your homework and still not found an answer. I say this from experience.

Hmmmm, I wonder if that big chip on your shoulder might have anything to do with it.

Then don't act three times your age!:flamer:
You are a bunch of "Good Old Boys" that think you own this site because you have been here forever, have no life and sit around the CPU in your underwear looking for anything to criticize...
Bawazir has been the most entertaining and genuine contributor to this forum and all you do is criticize and berate him for anything and everything he does and says. I consider him a friend although I have never met the man.
And anyone that calls you on it is full of **** and made to look like a moron.
I really like this site but some of you guys really blow.
Tbone i just want to say thank you for the support and all, I just want say that yes am trying to entertain people with vid clip and photos, am that kind of a guy like to type and show. but you see the problem is when people actually cross the line with me i just laugh about it and play it along, but when i start crossing the line on them, they all jump on me and get pissed off, some how Mary send couple pm telling me to stop and i STOP to a point, I hope she dose the same to others, I get picked on because i am different type a guy, I guess most the member here think i should own a import like a Corolla or a Nissan, but i don't own one, i love my American made S/C Marauder, Is all about having fun and making fun. You see i always accept that i am different , but i always think everyone here are friends to me,
p.s
Some time i do search but than again i cant find my answer and start a new one.
Well i guess next time i be aware how serious people are.
I think i will let other members answer that for you.... as well as my 15+ level of positive feedback ------>
Now go... :corner:

Not true at all, i never thought i "own" this site, nor do i EVER take this site for granted or step on it negatively in any way.
Im not going to stand on a high stone or anything but ive delt alot with many members on and off this site. I have been given good deals or even free parts before and have given the same MANY times. Keeping MM.net a family is what it is all about, and noone wants to continue to help people that dont want that same outcome. Many can vouch that being a good member has nothing to do with "time of service" on this site or even feedback ratings. (even though it can sometimes reflect that due to a high post count is the outcome of many contributing posts for most "good" members) Its all about how you treat people, on and off this site, that makes you who you are. Bring something more to the family then you have recently, and pay attention to what has already been mentioned on this site many times about the same subjects, and maybe then, you will fit in better.
Would you like me to repeat it again???
This is one of those posts that you couldve left out... jerk move IMO.
Well, he's been a lot more entertaining and fun than you, that's for sure.
I'd take adam over you anyday... he has proven himself here.
"Dude",
Not a social network?
Then why are there so many threads about ANYTHING about a MM!!!????
HAVE YOU READ ANY OF THE ******** ON HERE???!!!!
MM.net is getting so far AWAY from being a "car forum" it's sick! And if you ask a car question that's been asked in the last 7-8 years, GOD help you! Good thing these cars aren't 40 years old! Lord knows the **** you would get!
You
"MM.net is so far from being a social networking site it isn't even funny."
Me
"MM.net is such a social networking site it isn't even funny!"
:flamer:
There is a lounge and a members only section for a reason.... if you dont like the networking then dont enter those sections.
Hmmmm, I wonder if that big chip on your shoulder might have anything to do with it.
Yeah probably. See above.

tbone, you really need to chill. BluGruv and Matt are right.
Although mm.net IS technically a "social networking" site in the strictest definition, its primary purpose is as an enthusiast site dedicated to the Marauder. We're here to exchange information to help other owners maintain and enjoy their cars. If you are just looking for a place to hang, ask "Wassup?", and keep an online diary, that's what Facebook was invented for. Yes, some of that activity is tolerated here, but it is not primarily what mm.net is about.

Bazzle, you do get a lot trash thrown your way, but you are a good guy in my book. You have made me laugh, and brought some serious gems to the site. Sometimes your post's go to the "gonna get a MM.net vacation soon" zone, but you ahve always made me laugh. Your good natured when I give you ****, and poke it back in the right fashion. So you are  in my book

The problem is that some of the new members talk just to talk.. I'm on this site every day and in 4 years have less than 300 posts.... you know why? Because I use the search function before I create a new thread.
Some guys start a new thread ever time they fart... and to be honest, after looking at members that have thousands of posts within months of joining I can only come to one conclusion and that is they have no life outside of this forum.
before you post remember this famous quote.."It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt"?
:soap:

I miss the shout box. That was a way I could ask a question without having to start a new thread and usually everyone was great about pointing you in the right direction... I guess I will start trying to use the make-shift shout box for that. There is a lot of information on EVERY topic on here, just takes a little help finding it! Many members can know a quick way to find a certain thread and point you in the right direction.

People with that low posts over a long time, usually are afraid to help because they know very little or choose not to help.
plus i enjoy disagreeing with Jim (sometimes)... lol
2002 wipers and earlier suck. I owned an 02 - I think it was a poor design.

BTW- thank you for pointing out that the pre 2002 wipers suck. This thread can be closed now!!
