I've used Mobil 1 on many of my past vehicles, and it really is good stuff. The best part of Mobil 1, is that it's the last of it's kind literally. There was a time, when a fully synthetic oil really was fully synthetic, and that's not true anymore unfortunately. Nearly every main-stream synthetic oil on the market that claims to be 100% synthetic, is actually not synthetic at all, or usually merely a synthetic blend at most. Most oils that claim to be fully synthetic, now utilize nothing more than a highly refined hydrocracked conventional base stock(usually a Group III base stock) combined with some synthetic additives here and there. This is actually perfectly legal, because the definition of what a synthetic engine oil as defined by the API and SAE, is based on how well an oil performs, not what it's composed of. I call it deceptive marketing as if an oil is claimed to be fully synthetic, I really expect it to be fully synthetic in composition. While this has happened, it's nice to know that Mobil 1 from the beginning has always been fully synthetic just as they claim.
