Well I have installed my sponsored Novi 2200, replacing the JT Trim. I will be running about 18 PSI, I took the transmission out because I just did not want to take any chances, and amazingly the transmission was in very good shape, the sun gear teeth had some light pitting, I sent the triple disk PI converter to Jack, and had him inspect it and change the stall to 3500, I replace the Kinsler fuel filter installed new injectors and used a HPX Maf in a blow through, I will post more pictures and the dyno video, we are starting on a 2010 GT next week with a Vortech watter to air, I will post that build up as well.

I will have the car on the dyno this week after the transmission goes back in, we tore it down, and it could have gone another 50k, but we replaced all the clutches and the sun gear it was slightly pitted, the converter will be back from PI Tuesday, I installed the dual pumps today, and replaced the rear main seal, looking forward to getting back on the track.

The car sounds like a Jet, I like the Novi 2200 better than the JT Trim, we had the car on the dyno today, it is only making 11.8 PSI but the car made 478 RWHP with very little timing, so I will drop the pulley size, on 16 PSI it made 568, my goal is 600 with out N20, I am hoping to make Gainesville Wed, so will see, and I am looking forward to the Picnic, I also wanted to let the members know, a member here has a brand new set of Kooks he wants to sell them they never have been installed and a set of UDP, he now wants to buy a S/C for the car, so if any one would be interested in this, please shoot me a PM they will come with FREE shipping.

Well I installed a BAP today just to be safe, I got the car on the dyno late and I am happy with just 13 PSI the car made 513 RWHP so I may just hit it with a 100 shot or I may put a 4lb crank pulley on, I will be at the track Wednesday. And will see many of you at the Picnic.

Well there are several factors, to consider, one back then I was making 16 PSI now I am just at 13, second is the temrature is a lot higher here now than in November, but I am excited to see what the car does, and really I do not care for the high number. I just love the smell of RACE GAS:beer:

Well as I said every one wants a ten, and I will get there. I am in no hurray. I have not raced in over two years, but I had fun Corey and his friend was there, I have 16" 11.5 M/T on the car so I ran five passes it took three to get the tire pressure right, I just blew them away coming out of the hole, 60' were high 1.9 my first run was 12.04 at 122 MPH OAT 88 degrees here and 85% humidity, so I dropped the tire pressure to 21 PSI. Next I was working on the shift schedule, I set the revs per mile to 800, and kept dropping my 1/2 I was just hitting the rev limit, the 2/3 was shifting short at 5500 RPM so I raised it, my last pass was 11.7 at 119 MPH and the car never spun out of the hole, so next week will be better, it is all about patients and having fun. The car right now is only making 13 PSI. And I am running a six rib with no issues.

Congrats Dennis.

If you have tubes you can go down to 14psi and w/o tubes 15.5psi. Depending on how dry and smooth the track is she will get squirlly at the top end. Just let up and try another run.

When I ran 17psi, as a result of hitting dew and drifting to the center, I was spinning out past the launch. When I went back to 14psi she hooks!

Are you running Nitros and if so what set up?

Dennis Reinhart
05-19-2010, 10:14 PM
I am running a 100 shot, I used a bottle in the bag kit but mounted it in the trunk, I am going to try a 200 shot I have this coming in right out of the S/C at the inlet of the inner cooler, so the N20 is drooping the temp out of the blower as it enters the IC, now since I am set up as a blow through there is no need for a wet shot, and you can't run that through the IC, this way I can maintain 13 PSI. I am just trying to to some R/D for a good setup, and try and relax a little, after the past two years I need it.

A widder rim would be better, but as Billy said if you add tubes to these they add side wall support, when you lower the tire pressure, the car handles well at the mid track and beyond.

Congrats Dennis - 11.77 is a very good run in anyone's book. You might want to look at Mustang Cobra Replica 10"x16" rims. They are not very expensive and lighter then the steel wheels. I run these rims on my MT ET bias Streets with no tubes. No tubes makes the car a little shaky at the top end, but it does reduce your et due to less rotating mass.

Good luck on your runs this Summer.

I am going to try to get back tomorrow, but a customer coming in from out of state with his Marauder for tunning tomorrow, I pulled my blower today and added little boost, now so you know my car has 118k on the clock the motor probably has 50K the rear end is 31 spline and I just went through the trans today at 98 Degrees it made 560 on pump gas and 11 degrees of timing the IAT went to 128, so I did one pull with a 75 shot the IAT dropped to 90 degrees and you can see what it made this is with no more timing and yes the AF needs some tweaking but I am very impressed, I will do a video of it in the morning I am also working hard on JFlaves car, and will have dyno sheets tons of pictures.

Yep, not bad considering what I have spent on the car, and the mileage, others have spent far more, and I am not far from there mark, I absolutely believe Ron does the best job on mod motors and 4V and 2V heads. I will do a pull in the morning and I am willing to bet the car makes 20 plus more RWHP because of the cooler temperature, I will straighten out the AF some, I hope to have Johns car again on the dyno next week. No matter I will be happy with a 10 I have no plans in adding a cage to the car so I will get one pass at Gainesville if it goes tens or close to it. And consider this is my daily driver. Most of the miles on this car were added when I loaned the car out to my customers.
