Even thew i switch back from breathers to pcv the smell went a way, but i still do feel drozzy every now and than, i went to the muffler shop and they told no muffler leak, I don't get it! window open or closed, i feel drowsy, I turn watry eye, and headache, Dose any one have had any experiencing with this?
Please help?
At first i thought it was me but i drove my other car i dont feel any thing,
My friends in the car feel it after an hour, am expecting an exhaust leak ,
I tried every think:
-I checked for a/c freon leak
-I checked for exhaust leak
-I dont have any hole on the fire wall
I got my Block off cap from musclemerc today, i ll see if would make a different. could it be the fuel,?
What ever it is, it is orderless, Could it be the cat's even tho they look and sound good ? could it be due to not having an EGR? , Could it be mildew on the A/C remember i dont smell any thing just headache, Please HELP!
:depress: Dammit i am not enjoying my car

Carbon monoxide (CO) is odorless and causes these symtoms... You HAVE TO have an exhaust leak somewhere

Do you have headers? You could have a leak at any trasition from header/manifold to the rest of the exhaust... I had this problem in my Ranger and I replace the gasket between one of the breaks in the exhaust and it fixed the leak and the light headed problem.

if its an exhaust leak you should definitly hear it
have someone at the back of the car plug the tips with some rags while the car is running and observe all of the flanges and connections for leaks.

Take it back to wherever you bought it from if you have warranty! I know you have only been on the site for a few months, but I don't know how long you have had the car for! I would bring it back and tell them you feel light headed everytime you drive it ever since you bought it. They might tell you to go pound sand after seeing the supercharger though... I dunno!

The car wasn't running right because of the leak and it was a noticeable sound different... I had the door open and revved the engine and could hear the sputtering... Replaced the gaskets at the exhaust joints and all was good

WHAT cap are you guys talking about?
The EGR fitting on the manifold is capped and high temp siliconed. Thats not leaking unless it developed a crack.
If you get this sensation when the windows are down, maybe you are just suffeing from motion sickness

The symptoms you describe sound like classic CO/carbon monoxide poisoning.
CO is in the exhaust so maybe the muffler shop missed something?

CO poisoning sounds right. We pilots have to be constantly aware of things like this and they sell little detectors that run about $4 and its about the size of a business card. You can buy one and put it in your car, if the copper colored disk in the middle turns dark there is CO in your cabin. Simple and cheap way to prove there IS an exhaust leak.

sounds like a gasket freed up on the exhaust near the engine, or even right at the engine. Really need to get all joints from the engine back checked and/or replaced... Bet your problem will go away. Being a fireman we go to a lot of carbon monoxide calls in homes with fireplaces and even oil burners and these are all common symptoms of CO poisoning. Check that checked asap because CO is a silent killer. It is tasteless and odorless

Can you get migraine from CO poisoning>?
Headaches definitely, light headed, nausea, dizziness... Can effect the central nervous system if bad enough. Can kill you in a decent enough dose... Better drive with all four windows down to circulate fresh air in, especially with your kid in the car!
This is how people commit suicide in their vehicles. If you sit in your car in a garage running, it will eventually kill you from the CO from your exhaust. My guess is you have a leak in your exhaust creeping into the cab

Bawazir, you do not have headers. The stock system has manifolds. You have an intake manifold and two exhaust manifolds. Headers replace the exhaust manifold for better flow and help the engine exhale a little better. You would have manifold gaskets, not header gaskets.
I was saying that when you leave a green light and accelerate, you will have hesitation in response from your car when hitting the gas pedal if you have an exhaust leak.

No problem or noise when accelerate, I just notice when start up the car cold in a hot weather there is a whitish smoke from the tail pipe like you see them in the winter till the car warms up, my coolent is good no leak what so ever, what that can be? i think water in the cat right case it goes a way when it is warm after 15min very very light smoke ,, should i be worried about it? could that be related?

Abdull, I really think that Bob has done a through job troubleshooting. He's gone through your MM throughly. He found the crack in the AC system, gave you a correctly set up closed loop pcv system, and more than likely would have seen or heard an exhaust leak by now. The white smoke on start up is just condensation in the exhaust burning. Get the little carbon tester Phrogg showed you, leave the car running and check the card for carbon. I would also advise you to set a visit with the DR. and drive you car so the symptoms will be present at the time of the visit.
I really hope you get to the end of this problem soon.

If you are driving with the windows down and you are still getting symptoms,
there is something RADICALLY wrong with either the car, or your sense of balance.
If you have already gone through the entire car and checked out the intake and exhaust,
the only other thing is to check the VENTILATION system.
If the blower is not circulating air you can have a buildup of MOLD inside the box.
MOLD can release spores inside your Marauder's cabin and cause you to have these symptoms.
The only way to get rid of the mold is to replace the entire box and all of its components.
You should also check UNDER YOUR RUGS for mold growth since this Marauder was a salvaged car.
It could have sat in a yard and may have been subjected to dampness and/or water.

Your local fire department may be able to do a carbon monoxide check. I think all departments nowadays have the meters so they can check for CO leaks in houses. No reason you couldn't call a non-emergency number (please, for the sake of my brothers and sisters in dispatch) and ask them if you could bring the car by for a check.

Any chance the tip of one or both of your tailpipes does not extend beyond the rear bumper cover? If one of them is short, the exhaust coming out of it might be getting caught up under the bumper, and finding its way into the trunk through a rust hole maybe, or maybe a missing grommet. Once it's in the trunk, it's in the passenger compartment.
I suppose that goes for a leak anywhere rear of the mufflers. How hard is it to find a leak there, seeing as how the exhaust is already muffled? You'd need to be able to see it, I guess, or get your ear right up close to it with the engine running and listen for sputtering air.
Maybe you should try running some seafoam into the motor with the windows rolled up - that stuff will make the exhaust quite easy to see, and may help trace the point of entry into the cabin.
IDK, just a few thoughts.
Check for something blocking your exhaust pipes. My friend Eddie used to sneak up behind cars and stick bananas up the exhaust pipe.

First of all. you may not smell mold spores even though they may be present.
The box I am speaking of is the HVAC box which is partly under the hood
and the balance is under your dashboard.
To remove it requires removal of your dashboard.
Please check UNDER YOUR RUGS for mold as well.
Second, Carbon Monoxide is CO, not CO2.
CO2 is carbon DIOXIDE which is what you exhale every day
since you were hatched.

Nice! What's it say under them crossed flags? 396 Turbo Jet?
427 actually... Nice ride... I love that car... He wanted to sell it and buy a newer mustang and I told him I would disown his as a father... I hope I convinced him...

Hey Bawazir. Ever think you might be becoming claustrophobic? And theres nothing wrong with your car. Maybe its your blood pressure?

I got to go with the engine bay air getting into the heater box.
The box was putty'ed up on top but what about below , where you can't see?

Bradley....you may have hit the nail on the head!!
Didn't I read in one of his posts that the rubber seal that runs across the wiper cowl/fresh air intake was missing on his car?? This seals engine bay fumes and heat from the cabin fresh air intake while the car is moving.
If it is missing and he's deleted the PCV he would be sucking breather fumes and heat directly into the cabin....NOT GOOD!!:shake:
My $0.02 FWIW??:D
