View Full Version : O/D light started flashing when loading up the conveter

as the tittle says, today i was trying to see at what rpm the car starts to pull, then it hit 2500rpm then it drop the rpm and the light started flashing.
the trans temp when up to 200 then i parked the car

The OD light will flash and the trans will go into short-shifting "limp" mode if the trans is overheated.

got it, i turn on the car hours later and it ran good.

he is - a monster one at that. when stopped there is no air flow.

Landy are you getting your trans temp from the PCM?

yes i am. it was a hot day and i was driving for a while.
i wonder how off is my gauge. cuz it shouldnt go on limp mode at 194 degrees.

If normal temp is 180~210 then you should'nt get into limp mode. Especially with your cooler set up. Better be safe and get it checked.
