Anyone ever have their car turn off on them at WOT?
Well I can say I have..my car literally cut off all power and shut down a second after hitting the gas from about 50mph or so.. Lights came back on about a second later..and I threw the car into neutral and restarted it, put back into gear without even stopping and was going again.
I think the reason this happened is due to the alternator shutting off at WOT and there is a fault at my electrical wiring at the battery posts or something. The car has been weird lately every once in a while where you go to turn it on and the dash light just dim to nothing and wont crank the car. But a simple slam of the door or the steering wheel like back to the future, and it's good to go again.
Just thought I'd share. That is all.
Check the ground at the battery.

When I whack my MM unless I have the traction control off it feels like a similar thing, it does`nt completely shut down, it coughs and sputters.... it will definitely make you think twice about pulling out into traffic without checking the switch 1st ! I see your running and 04, just thought i`d throw that in there.......Good luck with that :burnout:

Lol Guspech, and it's funny cause of my shorter tires in back, I always have to turn off the traction control, and when this happened and I restarted it, the car went whacky cause the traction control obviously rebooted, and I thought I had broke my car for a moment, until I saw the traction light blinking..I was so relieved.

You can add more grounds from the neg terminal to the frame.
Check the wiring harness on the back of the DS valve cover.... look for chafing on the silver bracket that supports the wiper cowl assembly..
This was a problem on some 03's that did not have the harness routed correctly during assembly.

I had this happen about three times in the past and I truly believe it was a bad connection with my old chip. I recently had it dyno'd and everything put onto my Xcal and haven't had an issue yet. Do you have a chip by chance??

Will do. Thanks
And Bob, I just have his tune loaded by my xcal 3.
