I have found there is a differential that doesn't require to me to go to 31 spline. I am looking into this because that rear end is making noise again and I won't go down the track until I repair this for the final time.

The setup I am wanting to do is a Detroit True Track with 31 spline axels.

I noticed there is a 28 spline setup so is it worth it to go to 31 or is that only if I wanna do low 11s? Low 11s are not in my plans for a number of year or maybe not at all.

I have found 31 spline axels for as little as $80 used from Ford Racing. I might jump on them before they vanish and get a Locker when the time comes.

Does the 31 really make a difference? I am thinking long term.

Zack, I know you will suggest the Cobra setup like you have been for years, but I keep telling you it has clutches for me to break. That's what I keep breaking, time for something without clutches.

Have you ever rode in a car with a locker? They are load! I have them in two of my older cars. For the older car they are fine but I would not want one in the marauder.

Though his thread title says 'Locker'...I think Dom is looking at the Detroit 'TrueTrac' not the Detroit 'Locker'.

If he does want a Detroit 'Locker'....you're right....it's noisy when you make a turn and is really designed for drag racing.

Dom, if you really want it bulletproof...just get a spool!

I meant True Track yes, sorry. I was tired and awake at the same time last night.
