Does anyone have an extra stock MM rear axle shaft out of the car that they could take a tape measure to and get me a measurement for the length from flange to C-clip?
It would be most appreciated.
Thank You.
I think the MM axles may be slightly longer than my '93 axles.
I'm thinking of going with 31-spline Moser axles.
Any one here have an opinion one way or the other?

I have a set in my garage that came out of Phoebe...I'll get you a measurement when I get home from work, although I'm sure someone else will have an answer way before then.

As to your question about Mosers...see reply #22 here (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=61333&highlight=rear+axles&page=2), then ask Zack about them.

Just get Ford Axles. OEM FTW.

If you want the moser's, make sure you ask them if the ABS ring land was machined BEFORE hardening.

Not to thread jack, but does anyone have or know of anyone that has a good set of 28 spline stock axles from either a Marauder or CV for sale? I am in need.

Thanks
Darrin

From where the axle shaft attaches to the flange (on the inside) to the end of the axle is 33 7/16" (± a sixteenth). Is that sufficiently accurate?

From the same point on the flange to the centre of the c-clip groove is exactly 33".

?

that would be correct, inwhich case the 31 splines from 03+ cvs will not work

Darrin, if you need them in a hurry, I got mine from Rock Auto. Ordered online on Thursday and they were at my front door on Monday.

Yeah, I appreciate the help but it's for a police department vehicle and they don't like to spend money. I was hoping to find a good used set.

Thanks again!
