Hey all
Not long ago some one posted that for 12 bucks and change you could get an AARP membership which will give you $500 discount on a MM. It seems that AARP will give you an associate memberhsip number but no card if your under 50 years old. Can this associate member number be used to apply for the $500 discount?? Has anyone tried this??? Becuase if it works I will pay for 12 for 500. What a no brainer!!

Hmm, my rents get the $500 discount because they're members, but to be a member, you gotta have a card and proof. I guess you should ask your local dealer to clarify that...and if you don't like their answer...ask the next one! : )

Logan is really 50+. I saw him eyeballing "The Lincoln of minivans" a few weeks ago. True story...

Hey people,
My wife got solicited for AARP membership when she was 40. Guess what? We had her join! She received her card and we started enjoying AARP benefits right away!!! She is OLDER than me by 1 month and 2 days! That was several years ago!
Went and bought our MM in July '03 and we got our AARP discount plus rebate plus LM $500 Owner Loyalty plus X-Plan discount.
Happy hunting and go for it!
GordonB.

I am 25 years old and I used the AARP discount on my Marauder. I just went to the website and signed up for an associate membership. I gave my dealership my membership number and they gave me the $500 discount.
Its the best $12 you will ever spend if you are in the market for a new Marauder.

Hmmm...........
I guess it's too late, but I wish I had known anyone under 50 could still become a member!

Gee my discount was legit!
I was talking to someone on this subject and found out that AARP was sued for age discrimination and I guess a result was that they have to accept anybody as a member if you want to join.

I was under the impression that a private organization that doesn't not take state or federal funds had the right to discriminate against whatever they chose to, but maybe i'm wrong..............
