Doing electrical work you disonect the battery, somthings take longer then a day to do, you may want to keep your trunk closed, how are you going to open it again with no key to work the lock? I have my battery in the trunk I had to pull the motor the battery is unplugged but I still have my lock for the trunk. I know you could jump the car from the front but it seems like a pain. You may want to run a wire from the emergeny trunk release to the underside of the car through one of the vent/drain holes.

Correction... it WAS phrog that told me how to mount the switch:


Since you have electric trunk release, would the diameter of the handle let it fit the hole where the trunk lock cylinder is? You wouldn't have to drill any extra holes and would be stealth. But then again, you probably already have a backup camera there.

I got it confused with this:


that dosent seem like it would be very difficult to mount to the deck lid.

And this:


Matt, he is saying mount the switch on the trunk lid and then run the wires along the hinge like the other wires, there are also other types of cut offs out there.



This mess up is unacceptable..... i have talked to the mods and have changed my thank-you-shout-out feedback from Impalaslayer to Phrog and I am forcing him to return his original idea in a boxed envelope and will be sending his money back certified fed-post paypal and paying for the extra shipping fees and PM costs.
