::::UPDATE:::5/18/10. Finished pictures page 2!!!
hey guys. I have just installed the rear lip spoiler and I am currently in the process of having the tails painted "s55" treatment. So far, I removed the taillight assembly from the car, and prepped and masked it ready to be painted oem paint code "ua".
I will post up pics along the way finishing with a final look of the addition of the lip and taillights! I will however not be doing the s55 treatment to the rear reverse brake lights because I personally dont like them!!

Btw.. im loving the lip... shouldve put them on when i first bought the car!! next step is the mach 1 lip but they are on backorder.

Actually its very easy you just have to use the right cutting tool and right method. My preference is the olfa blade, cuts through like water, easy to follow and requires the least amount of pressure. An exacto knife works too. Using a box cutter/utility knife would be a no no.

well you used regular masking tape, i used a special painting tape that is more like electrical tape. it leaves a much cleaner line. i duno i always go cross eyed when i do them. i think ive done 5 now?

There are many types of masking tapes available. 3M, Scotch, Duct, Duck, SureTape, blue, white. Even with the blues and white tapes there is a different time intervals that come with them too. 15 days, 30 days, 60 days safe release tapes, etc.
To most body shops it is a personal preference as to which one they use. I only had the regular masking tape to my disposal and it came out perfectly fine!

Nice car though I would suggest replacing that "KingAuto" plate frame with any plain one, actually you can get a nice plain chrome one from Wally World for about $4 to match your letter inserts.

Looks great! I taped mine off with blue masking tape, wet sanded the sheen, rattle can matching black, many layers of clear, heat gunned dry, wet sanded, small machine buffed, and installed in two hours flat. Looks better than perfect! But I will admit, if I had the extra cash, I would have dropped mine off too. I also waited way too long to install a spoiler!

Very nice!. I was thinking to start with plastic primer, few coats of base coat and several coats of clear. Unfortunately I am not that confident in my painting abilities and sent it to my friends shop for free! Should have the finished tails very soon.

Thanks bud! I had my friends shop paint it. Unfortunately he was out of town and I could not wait so I went to an unknown painter there. I'm satisfied overall.

I rep kingauto to tha fullest...lol thats why its still there, worked there for years..I didn't even get the car from there....I'm going to pull it off though...I don't really like too much chrome on the body of the car if you know what I mean...

The Marauder looks awsome but do you really want to advertise for everyone you buy parts from on the Car as your sugesting?

What are you saying? I don't understand? If your asking will I be putting random decals of parts that I dont own on the car? The answer is no, I will only be putting decals of what I have on the car now and in the future to come.
