Well, after over a year on my new set up and running on my own tune and trying to sort out some bugs. I finally went to the dyno/tuner as recommended by ImpalaSlayer - Thanks Dave!
I took my car to Performance Evolution in Middletown, DE. I was very impressed by his tuning knowledge.
Final number was 617rwhp, 527rwtq for now on a very safe street tune. I got some issues going on which prevented us from trying to do race tune and max boost.
When I get my issues straighten out, hopefully in a week, I will then be going back for a retune.
Jesus thats high numbers. How much boost?

You really think so? It's no where near yours. My boost is max amount that can be run on 93 octane. (4" upper, stock lower)
nice numbers man!
Thanks man!

Thanks man! Yes, actually I like the Cobra longblock/whipple combo!

Thanks man. I'm in Berlin, about 20 minutes from Medford. We should get together.

Thanks man! Cobra longblock and whipple TS.

No, the procharger was my old set up. Now it's a whipple.
On 20psi and 93 octane, Im no where near that power.

It's funny that sometime you could have 2 cars with about the same mods but then they dyno or track differently.
I was surprised that my torque was way less than hp. I thought that with a PD blower they would be a lot closer to each other. I've noticed a lot that on centrifugal where hp is way more than torque. Nevertheless, I'm still very happy of my numbers.
You can shove 5+ degrees of timing in the tune on a dyno without it detonating and gain 30-50rwhp....but have to take it out on the street. Some dyno tuners do this to inflate the numbers then back it down to reality before you leave.
FYI at 24psi and 14 degrees of timing on 100 octane, my car made 655/565....
I know it makes no sense!

Wow, 5 degrees! I think my tuner might be a little nervous blowing up my motor even though he wouldn't be responsible anyway. If the boost was around 16psi, we might not be so nervous but at 21 not so sure on pump gas.
I want to try putting on the 3.5" pulley and tune for race fuel and see if I could hit 650rwhp next time.

You coult make the 650 number with race gas and the pulley you have on it.

Good numbers. The 3.4 makes some serious power!
BTW, I'm running the 6.55" underdrive crank pulley and the 3.5" upper, makes 16-18 psi depending on temperature, altitude, etc. But I also have 5.3 L, oversize valves, ported everything, 9.5:1 CR. Running 16 degrees timing, made 686/555 on 91 octane pump gas. It's my street tune (actually my only tune).
I drove around for a day with the 20psi/93 octane combo and it felt so slow compared to the race gas/smaller pulley combo I vowed never to do that again.
(And in actuality it would probably run mid 11's like that )

Sorry bro!!! I didn't know you had that kind of relationship going on. I mentioned your car and he didn't really make any comments. I'll call you next time I go there.
Yes, Matt does seem to really know his stuff.

I would of thought your torque would be about 600 too especially with the stroker. It must be because of us running through the 4R70W vs manual trans and losing some of the torque transfer?

nice numbers I surpise alot of people aroung my area with my trilogy I cant imagine what a 600 plus MM would do all the M6 and CTS V spec cadillacs.

4r100 for me, but I guess the automatic vs manual is the reason our numbers don't agree with the Cobras.

Yeah, that's why I said I got some issues going on. I have voltage dropping problem after 5500 rpm and fuel pressure drops spike also after that. Not a good thing to deal with at that rpm and power.
My tuner said the cobra alternator has a design flaw that's mechanically shutting down at high rpm even though in the tune we set it for not to shut down electrically. I'm going to put a bigger pulley on it to slow it down and I'm also going to convert my fuel system to return and hopefully I won't have any more fuel pressure spikes.

Oh, that's right. I forgot about your conversion. If you were running manual, your hp would easily be over 700 and torque over 600!

Yep, the hp might already be there. I haven't been back to the dyno since revising my CAI tube. I had to adjust the MAF transfer function a lot down low, added about 25-30% more fuel based on LTFT and STFT numbers. So it's getting a LOT more air. CEL light doesn't come on any more, but I haven't been WOT yet.
FYI with a stock pulley on the Cobra alternator, it spins to 19000 rpm's...a design flaw indeed.
Put a 3.2 on there if you have a stock lower, 3.4 if you changed the lower.

Yes.
I already got the 3.2 alternator pulley ordered and on the way and also Aeromotive mechanical regulator and various AN fittings and connectors.

Went back to the dyno with the return fuel system set up. No fuel issues or pressure spikes or dips whatsover!
New numbers in the video.

I have a new issue now from looking at my datalog.
I'm going to have to get a better torque converter as it's slipping about 1500 rpm on the initial hit and down to about 300 rpm at the top of the run. I'm losing quiet a few rwhp & tq due to this slippage.
Also got the 3.2 alternator pulley on. The voltage is now more stable up top, but now at 750 rpm idle and A/C on full blast with headlights on, my voltage is hovering around 10.5v-11.5v. I might need to get a high output alternator to compensate for slower rpm at idle due to the new pulley or just put the original pulley back on.

Do you think so? I've heard some Eaton on YouTube & the track and they seem much louder than my whipple.
