View Full Version : supercharged
I finally finished my car for now :P Dyno date is June 3rd. I have a 3500 stall converter and kooks longtubes that I choose not to install at this time as next year the new engine goes in. I'm working with modular performance to put together a 5.0 or 5.3 not sure yet and I'll go threw the trans and freshen it up. Then I'll put the headers on and the converter in. I have some pics but word of caution there not as beautiful as Matt's car and I hate the color of the air filter(every other color was on backorder:mad2:)
mode list is
Paxton NOVI 1500SL
Water to air intercooled
60 lbs injectors
GT pump
KB boost a pump
SCT BA5000 Blow through
Sparta control arms and watts links
4.10's
Widened rims and Nitto 295's

Yes they and you seem very happy with the turnout of yours and there 20 min's from house can't get much better than that. I'm not sure If I'll go big with the 5.3L or just do a 5.0L IDK that new ford racing block is calling me:rolleyes:

Very nice! MP is the way to go they build stout motors. Johns article on the boss50 block was the reason I went for it. No brainer being 20m away. Congrats on the Paxton kit!
Sure is clean! I have to ask, if you havn't even seen what this engine combo can do yet, why are you already building another one?

its a stock motor, therefore limited to 450ish = only fun for so long

the Novi 1500 a pretty potent blower meant to make boost I'm spinning it pretty slow with the pulley Paxton supply's should be @ 9-12 psi. If I put on the headers on, packed the coolant take with ice and bumped the timing it would make more than enough power to window the stock block. I'd rather have some fun for a year, work out the bugs and exchange the engine in the winter for an engine that can take what the Novi 1500 has to offer without sending a rod out the block or cracking the ring lands off the pistons.

The BA5000 sent buy the great Mr. Reinhart it's hard to see it's one the back side of the pipe going to the throttle body above the brake master cylinder. Thanks again for all your help

You are welcome the kit really looks good and is very eficiant, I like the air cleaner this gets the Maf and the AF out of the inner fender well, you should make some very good numbers, and again the water to air kit has been revised by you congratulations.

You need to use the word Trans or transmition. If you don't CBT gets all excited:P

I think having the water tank buy the battery and being readily accessible to be packed with Ice will work out really great at the track for some low iat's. Pending your numbers and times I may need to pick your brain about that Novi 2200:).
LMAO! Hey, your avatar is the one humping a car part! Hmmm...mebbe I can modify mine...

Post a detailed pic of where the MAF is please.
If you have it near a bend in the pipe, it will be hard to get the MAF transfer function dialed in perfectly.

^found that one out that hard way
It is centered in the longest straight part of the pipe if you go to my pics look at the engine pic, you can see it better zoomed in. it's just to right of the brake master cylinder. Seeing where some put there maf's I'm thinking mine should be fine. I showed it to my tuner he feels confident it will work fine there. We shall see thanks for your input Zack it's always nice to hear everones input.

Congrats, looks great!
Well got the call today cars done on the dyno and driveability is perfect they are going to give her a bath tomorrow. I can pick up my car tomorrow after work:woohoo:. Tuner said with the timing bumped a few degrees(IDK what it is set at now) and ice in the water tank car made an easy 450 hp all at 10psi . I'll work on some updated pics of the pipeing and maybe a vid of the car in action

Considering I've been running there (Stanton aka Mid Michigan) since 06 with my battery in the trunk and no switch, it shouldn't be an issue :D
well then we shall see if I can attend I'll let you know

Vids of my car, not me driving my wife sucks at taking Vids so I let her drive. She was afraid to crash so no WOT just some brisk accelerations. She was giggling the hole time, I think she now understands my obsession with cars and bikes. Also a pic of the new inlet pipe we made one straighter for a better MAF signal drives like a well behaved car on and off the throttle and pulls hard @ WOT I love it. Can't wait to see how it feels when it's not 95 F and 50% humidity:shake:. I'll work on some better vids later thanks to Pop's and Dennis Rienhart for there help and to Livernois for tuning the car
