For the record the my Terminator Marauder is history. I am looking for a new replacement. It's hard to keep this a private matter when I am asking for help from the Marauder community. If you have any additional questions please send me a E-mail at mwhite26@me.com. I have already had people on the internet laugh and joke about this matter. I personally don't find it funny. I just need information and assistance in purchasing a replacement vehicle.

Wow, Mark... Very sorry to hear about your loss. Very curious about details.

I saw a very low mileage Marauder on ebay if you're looking for a nice replacement, but if you're looking to make another race car it would be too nice.

I want to hand pick the car before purchasing. As far as racing goes I have no plans in returning to the sport anytime soon, but never say never. It's just not paramount to me at this time. I have to get through the medical issues first. Give me a call if you want further information. You know my number.

Honestly Zack....... You need to give the investigative reporter in you a rest.

Just because you have a level of knowledge about Marauders and tinker with parts tunes setups and such, it does not give you the right to think you need to be informed about everything.

Even if the conclusions you jump to turn out to be true, maybe you should hold on typing them, save for a PM to the source and then wait for them to peel back the onion. That is a more classy option and one I hope you consider in the future.

I am not looking to get into a pissing match with you on this, but if you consider yourself as having some stature in this community, then as you go, so will some of the members who look to you for information and guidance. Classy conduct, means a perpetuation of that by others. Assinine conduct means the discourse on this board degenerates to "can you top this" & "gotcha" :bs::flamer: type comments/criticisms:shake: all over mm.net. This is Merc's thread. Let him handle it without the Spanish Inquisition and sidebar crap.

Try to stay classy will ya? Thanks.

Sorry for the offtopic post here Merc. Eyes are open and on the lookout in GA for ya.

I will investigate, but the first problem is the price. The bank will not loan 19,000 for a Marauder of any year. I need additional cash for tax and tags. Unless they are interested in 15,000 it's a no win situation for me. I have called a few dealers and they didn't move much off there list price on the phone.

You have a P.M. I would prefer a Silver Birch N/A. A clear title is the most desirable. Having to deal with the seller and lean holder can be complicated.

Merc, I have located an 03 300A in Central TX. Has ~ 45k on the clock. Needs tires, alignment, driver mirror painted, and the top surfaces show crow's footing like many do. (I had to have the hood, roof, and deck lid painted on the last two MM I owned) headlight covers have some haze. I know you want something with good paint, but I thought I would let you know about this one. He wants $12. PM me if you want his number.

Thanks to everyone and all the help that was provided. I have only been to work one day this week and starting to feel a numbness in my left finger tips and arm. It's extremely hard to see my car devastated after a large investment. It will be a long time before I return to the 1320 if ever. I still have daily visions of hitting the wall and feeling the pain of the impact. Then spinning around waiting for the next impact. I just can't get it out of my head.

I wanted to share some pictures so you can understand the damage.

I wanted to keep this private because of threads like this one.

http://newengland-motorsports.com/forums/showthread.php?p=574123

I have answered all E-mails, P.M.'s, and Phone calls. I don't want this to become a internet discussion or debate. Unless you are contributing or assisting me to returning to normal then keep your negative attitude to yourself.

It's a long road uphill and a huge financial drain.

I am still here for you Merc. Just let me know about the Marauder on Eastern Shore bro....

I looked at the Black 03 yesterday in Dumfries Va. They were asking 12,999.00. The car was junk inside and out. I am moving the car to P.A. Sunday so I can think about the next move. Picking up car dollies today. I got the loan approval from the credit union but I need to focus on getting better.

Get well soon Merc. A terrible loss to you and I honestly feel the hurt as many did at Marty's open house event today. I was shocked to hear the news.

I'm sure you have received a great deal of advice from many well meaning people. But, I would really get well first and then take a real close look at your MM. I have only seen the DS photo, but if you or Chris have an "in" with a body shop you may be able to save the MM unless the frame is gone. Buying a cheap MM parts car may not be a bad idea. Don't count your MM out yet.

Good luck with whatever you do.

Merc,

I have a rear bumper cover, a pair of tail lights and a trunk lid W/rear body panel that I am willing to give you, should you want to try and fix what you have. I will even deliver them to you in PA.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

You know why owning a Marauder is the best not only do you get a cool car but the Marauder community has a sense of family and comradeship, I have seen nothing like it with any other car club.

Working at a dealership seeing some of the cars that come into our body shop, Yours seem to be bad but maybe fixable. Merc have you thought about taking it by a body shop and getting an estimate for a repair especially if you can supply some of the hard to find or obsolete parts it maybe not be that bad? If your absolutely against having it fixed and you see anything in the Michigan area you like, let me know I can go and take a look at for you.

Most of it is bolt-on as far as I can see. Doors, fender, bumper cover, lights, decklid, tailpipe. The 1/4 panel is all that would need serious fitting and welding, but I've seen a panel worse than yours replaced and you can't tell it. A big question is how bad is the passenger's side?

Ouch! That kink isn't fixable. Best to find a donor CV with a good rear clip.

Fix it.

If you & Chris can swap the doors & fender yourself (especially if you can find black ones) then have the welded-in parts swapped at a body shop it will save a bundle.

When I ran my svt focus into a Case skid steer at work( don't ask:o). The Diver side of my car looked worse than your car Merc but with no rear bumper damage(I damaged entire left side of the car holes and kink's , mirror, tailgate and both stop lamps) cost me @ $1,500 to the have the metal bumped out, filled, prepped, repainted, new mirror and both left and right stop lamps replaced. Looked good as new. with Spectragod's offer you should be able to get your car back on the road for a lot less $ than getting another MM and not to mention less time than it will take you to swap your driveline over

I think you ought to fix it (unless there is serious frame damage).

That RR quarter will straighten out just fine, I've fixed some that were worse. It is easiest to clip the car, but it is labor intensive. If the frame is bent, it may be over, Ford only gives them 5mm of variance.

I would get it to a shop, pay the setup for the frame measurement, usually $100 or so, and go from there. I may be able to locate doors and a quarter.

Myself, I would skin the doors, replace the left quarter, repair the right, it will probably need a rear body panel and some attention to the trunk floor.

I'll donate both rear doors off the '95 Grand Marquis that is in my garage being parted out.
I believe that they are the same as our Marauders. They are in excellent shape.
The color is Willow Green Metallic but your going to be shooting a lot of black paint anyway.
Bonus....the rear windows are already tinted!

If we can work out transport, I'll take the front door off your car and donate both of my black ones. A little less painting of the jambs and interior panels (yep, pull off the interior trim panels and you see the doors are painted inside). Also they would already be black underneath the weatherstrip and have the black door handles instead of the chrome ones.

Marc:

Take the MM to a good body shop and see what work has to be done. Have them check the frame. The offered parts will save you a huge amount of money. I wish to thank those helping Mark - you are great members of this board.

After looking at the PS the worse damage is the quarter panel kink. As others have posted - the repair is doable.

Merc, I'm a little late to the game, but I'm sorry to hear about your Marauder. Your health is most important at this time, and it sounds like you've got a lot of help in finding parts or a new Marauder for you. I don't know if it'll help, but I have a spare black rear valance panel off of a CV that's in okay shape. Pretty sure you can replace the backup lights and chrome trim on it with the Marauder ones. It's yours if you want it.

Thanks everyone, keep the great idea's flowing. Sometime this week we are going to remove the car from the trailer and inspect the frame and damage from underneath. I have my eye's on a 2003 black Marauder from Florida. It's unbelievable how many posts, pm's and E-mails I have read.

First and foremost the number one priority is getting back to work and repairing the body. Secondly we have to store the car till we figure out if we want to part out the car or swap out the go fast parts.

It was a hard weekend for me and stressful to hear my friend Paul Cassy had a heart attack. If you are a MM.net member and over fifty your odds of having a attack is doubled.

Most people with low mileage cars are asking more then the loan value on these cars. I purchased a SB in Georgia last week. A Canadian car is out of the question for many reasons. I prefer a Southern car and not a daily driver. Thanks for searching. Finding a replacement Marauder is not easy but I think I got the right one. Only time will tell.
