Well I did it. I pick them up Friday at my local NAPA. It cost a whopping $120.00 for (2) of them. ;) They aren't stainless, but they are the ones I wanted...
I ordered Dynomax Super Turbos - Overall Length = 25" (big)
They should be just as quiet as factory and flow much better than the 1.9-2.0" inch pipe inside the factory mufflers. I got the 2.25 variety.
Got a safe and sound 30 day guarantee. Saving the stockers!
I hope I like it. I've contemplated this for months....
Here's to quiet high performance.

Do a mid pipe swap with high flow cats and get rid of that 1-7/8" section while your at it. Your exhahust will thank you for it.

Mufflers is step one. I plan to add the Magnaflow Tru-X muffled x-pipe (polished stainless) with some 2.25 mandrel bend pipe from the cat flanges back to my new mufflers. Might use stainless band clamps.

welp I went to Midas -- mufflers in hand after I made an appointment so I wouldn't have to wait. 20 minutes later they finally get my car on the lift.
Then they want to charge me $200.00 to basically cut the stockers off and weld the new ones on. I said forget it!
$200.00 and I supplied the mufflers? What? (I thought that was mega high) So I had them lower it off the lift boxed up my new mufflers and I'm out of there.
I am going to take it to a much better shop and have them put stainless pipe on it with stainless welds.

$200.00 to make 6 cuts and 6 welds? Are they crazy?

Yeah, and this is at your plain jane "low quality" Midas.

Find a hole in the wall muffler shop. I have been to a couple and they work cheap and usually do a pretty decent job!

since i had these mufflers install in place of NO mufflers it is much quieter but the tone is just right and when i get on it she still screams.
keep in mind i went with the 18" ones.

find a place that only does exhaust systems, i paid 75 bucks to get 2.5" mandrel bent from the magnaflow to the tips.
on my older MM they also charged me 250 bucks to cut out the stockers and put magnaflows, including mufflers. shop around

$75 for mandrel bent? I'd do that twice. Geesh - best place I know of is in Buffalo, NY - I'm near Syracuse, NY - I'm about 5 hours from Stainless Works (too far)
I'll have to shop around some more.
Thanks Guys

For $75.00 you got crush bent and it was more than likely aluminized steel. The factory stuff you removed was better. Just my opinion
