I am curious to know if anyone knows where the first 2003 production Marauder is. Was it sold like a normal car or does the Ford Motor Company have it somewhere? I would imagine the final Marauder was just sold like any other Marauder, but I could be wrong.

Anyone know?

If I'm correct the last one was sold and ordered by Jack Deemer L/M in Dearbron, Mi. It was silver birch.

Peter, that's what I recall as well. Chapel1 has one of the real early 300A builds, but not sure who has #1.

I believe the 1st MM was disassembled after extensive testing. However, I believe that both 1st and last MMs were in Michigan.

The "first" Marauder needs a little qualification because there's more than one "first" Marauder. The 1998 SEMA car, that was the original concept car, was scheduled to be destroyed, and I assume it was. There were also around 25 pre-production cars. I don't know where the first one of these is, but it could still be around. Steve Babcock told me that the first regular production car was bought by Bob Tasca. Don't know whether it was Sr or Jr, but I assume it was Jr.

Exactly, we usually build 25 or so "pilot cars" that are used for various testing purposes. Most if not all are usually scrapped. I suppose its possible one could get out. Then the build commences after certification. So, hard to say what the first one really is. Lets face it also that Ford doesnt care about the first or last Marauder, this is not an iconic car for Ford like say, the "Millionth Mustang" or whatever.

Steve Babcock told me that the 25 pilot cars were auctioned off. I know there are at least 2 or 3 people here that have one. But I don't know who has the first one.

It would be interesting to hear the story behind this "auction". Pretty much goes against fords usual disposal routine.

And i agree, you would think we would have heard more about that or they would have showed up by now.

I think Motorhead was asking about the 1st one to roll off the assembly line as a production vehicle. I'm actually curious myself and wonder if its still on the road.

The only 2 factory supercharged cars that I'm aware of are the convertible and S55 concepts. The was only 1 convertible. Don't know if there was more than 1 S55 or not.

This is one I saw back at the 2002 Woodward Dream cruise(With light flint interior too) All three of these Marauders had MFG. plates on them but this was the only one with the hood up.It also looks like a 4Valve.

I actually had the chance go get one with a light interior. I didn't know how rare they really were, but I didn't like them until recently.
