Yesterday while driving home I noticed that every time I hit a small bump in the road, my MM would bounce in the back, thinking I might have blown a shock absorber, I stopped to take a look & the back end of my MM was about 2 feet higher than usual ( very steep rake) . I pressed the on off switch for the compressor but no difference. So I'm asking if anyone has had this problem, do you know what it could be & if you had this problem, please give me an idea on the $$$$$$ to fix it !!! Thanks one & all.

Height sensor out. Switch just turns off the pump. $200ish.

Hey t-bone thanks for a possible solution, is the height sensor something I can take care of myself or does take a qualified mechanic to fix it with a diagnostic computer??

They will charge you a diagnostic fee no matter what, which they apply to the repair.
I don't know about doing it yourself. I know it mounts by the axle, not sure where. I would probably just have them do it.
When I went through this last year, first they replaced only the sensor. 2 weeks later the system was bad again. This time it was the pump. I told them the first time the pump was bad too. Sounded loud and weak. Needless to say they did not charge me a diagnostic fee the second time. All told it cost me about $750.
