vin breakdown?

Good day folks,
I was trying to figure out some of the info on the breakdown of the marauder vin# and see what I have and I can't make any sense of it.Can anyone give me a little help?

V - 4.6L 281ci, EFI, eight cylinder, v8 DOHC
(Check Digit) Can vary from 0-9
X - 2003 MY
Production Sequence number - Varies, last six digits of VIN

Close but you have a couple errors ^^^^^.

Here's the VIN decoder that came with my certificate from the Ford Performance Group (FPG)

2MEHM75V03X0000

2ME = Ford Motor Company of Canada (i.e. 2=Canada, M= Mercury). If the 3rd digit is "H" it was an incomplete vehicle from the factory (i.e. it was shipped out for the moonroof install)

H= Active Safety belts (all positions), Driver and Passenger air bags plus passenger side air bags, curtains, or canopies.

M75 = Grand Marquis (MM shared this designation in 2003), M79 = Mercury Marauder (separate MM designation added in 2004)

V= 4.6L 302 HP DOHC V-8 Mercury Marauder only

0 (i.e. 9th digit is a check digit 0-9)

3 = Model Year (3 is 2003, 4 is 2004)

X = St. Thomas Assembly Plant

000000 = Sequence Code

It's a 2003 Marauder with no moonroof. Build date is sometime in October 2002.

What else are you looking for? You have the decoder ^^^^^.

You can follow this thread below and get a cool packet with a certificate of authenticity and it also gives info as to how many of each color were made with which features for a given year and also comes with the VIN breakdown... Really cool packet!

i guess i was looking for my build # something like 750 of 7800
but i am happy with results.
It seems that all the Canadian MMs were built in early October to Mid November. My guess is your build number will be between 54xx to 56xx.
