Could you post a link or some pics of the BBK's? The Steeda's have been very popular over the years and I'd like to compare the two

I think the BBK's are a piggy back style, correct me if I'm wrong. Piggy back is no good.

You are correct. There have been several oil pump failures using this style. That's why the Steeda is the only one recommended.

I believe the problem was some of the piggyback style ones were improperly installed in the early days, which led to oil pump failures. If they are properly installed they're ok. One reason the one-piece Steeda style is preferred is it's not possible to install them improperly.

I think you are correct. & BBK is a good company... i don't think they would make a product that is a known failure point...

Please do not take offense, I would never use BBK, several members here have and lost motors, twice the installer thought the aluminum pulley replaced the OEM damner, IT DOES NOT. It bolts to the OEM dampener, and two members had the aluminum pulley come off. This is just my opinion I respect yours.

Watch your charge levels at idle at night with lights, day with AC etc. You may need to add rpm in the tune at idle. I'm putting the original back on with the new engine. Have to put mine in N at lights even with the HO alt. :D

A simple fix with SCT tuning you simply raise the idle:beer:
