New Headlights

Im looking to get some new headlights and was considering the aftermarket rockauto.com route but just went on their site and noticed they arent the $70 or so they used to be listed for. They show as $131.79 now..Im not sure if those are the same aftermarket version or not? And why the price increase? I just got quoted a price of $160 for aftermarket and $190 for oem from a local body shop. Does anyone know of any other aftermarket lights for sale online? I dont really want to go through ebay.

Make sure you get Marauder-specific headlights. They are blacked out.

Are these OEM? That's a pretty good price on them if so.

Being there on a ford parts site I would say yes they are OEM

be careful as the factory lights were changed up from ford after 04 the originals had the rear seal cover for the headlights with a o ring and plastic twist on cap the news ones don't have that provision on them and require the new style cover that is rubber only.

sold separately from ford.

The ones I have are pretty mint I will send ya picks if ya need to see them, the only reason I bought new ones is I know that ford will discontinue these soon and I didn't want to miss out on them, I had them since last Oct but only now am I going to but them on, I also have the marker lights as well.mileage on them is 75k or about 47,000 miles.

I had to order the rubber caps seperately. Only $6 each.

They are still listed, but they can't sell them anymore. Something about a copyright problem. I ordered them three times on ebay and each time the vendor took my money, sat on it for a week and then canceled the order.

Mine have the rubber cap on them. Everyone's car I have looked at has had the plastic twist cap on them.

The DEPO aftermarket lights are nice quality, the only thing crappy about them is the weather stripping usually isn't the proper shape and you'll have to mess with it a bit to get it to look perfect.

I just had some supposed Marauder lights put on at the dealer but I think they are Grand Marquis lights. They say HB5VORLHDOT on the left and SAE-HR-03GM on the right. Im guessing 03GM means 03 Grand Marquis? They dont looked smoked out at all. Can someone confirm if Im correct in thinking these arent Marauder lights. Need to know before I go off on them :mad2:

there not marauder head lights if there not black in the inside . I have found a lot of them on graiglist. So let me know if you need help finding the real ones

Got mine from a guy who custom makes them. Looks much better then stock but they are pricey.

i got mine from rock auto eagle eye brand i belive. i purchased the headlights and side markers. ive never had any fog up problems with the new set.

Order anyway and they will cancel the order because they can't get them.

I just had some supposed Marauder lights put on at the dealer but I think they are Grand Marquis lights.

The Marauder headlights have a black trim 'ring' surrounding the reflector. In the MGM version, this trim ring is chromed.
I'm not sure, but I think the headlamps are not tinted - unlike the reverse lamps, which definitely are tinted.
Also, since the only apparent difference between the MGM and MM headlamp is the colour of the inner trim ring, presumably the other pieces were used for both models - including the clear lens, the housing, reflector, the cap/boot, and probably the wiring harness, too.
