The offset on an OEM 18" x 8" rim is 45mm ( ~1¾" ).

By my calculations you would need +63mm offset on a 9" wheel, and +76mm offset on a 10" wheel, to avoid rubbing the fenders. Don't know what that will do for steering or shock absorber clearance though.

Do the math and see if it lines up with magindat (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showpost.php?p=346417&postcount=6)

Liquid's figures are very close. I run a 20x10 which I built by having a 20x8 widened. It comes to about +75 mm. On an 18x9 front - you cant lower or you will rub on bump steer. Also 18x9 will put you in a 40 or 35 series tire which will ride hard.

FRPP says 6.295" backspacing....:dunno:
I've measured my OEM rims backspacing at 6.5" = OEM 18x8" offset is +50mm
