The head unit has very few miles on it I will put what ever pulley you want on it and send three bottles of oil along with free shipping, the car is getting a new transmission 3500 PI Triple disk, I installed the Novi 2200, the car gained 45 RWHP and 3 PSI with just the upgrade, and the car was ten to one, this car will easily make over 600 RWHP on 93 octane. I will be going over the car and taking it to Gainesville, I will do a project with all the pictures.

Today Steve relocated the line lock we are modifying the intake pipe and making a custom air box, and reworking some of the other pipes. Darrin sent a transmission, PI sent a converter, so we are moving on then I will concentrate on the tune and idle, and will get to Gainesville, when done. Pictures will follow.

Here is a quick update on Johns car, I have already changed the S/C from a Novi 1200 to a 2200 the car gained 50 RWHP with nothing more, I am doing a lot of cosmetic work , john had a 1" intake spacer I took that off I will be willing to bet this will have no effect or it will gain power, 1" is to much. So the intake is back on I sent two of his pipes out to be rewelded, and re'powder coated they should be back Monday then the car goes back on the dyno to verify results, I made a custom air box for the car as well, I probably will put a smaller pulley on it but for now I just want to get the car tuned right and drive right, we will be installing Darrins transmission and a PI 3500 Tripple disk, and a Muth Mirror kit this is on me, and I will show how easy it is done, we have plenty of work and I am going to the track Wednsday if we do not get rained out.

Well today I got the car back together the pipes came back from the powder coater, I am going to have the upper and lower intake done in silver, I replaced the Diablo Maf extender with a new cable so wires to not have to be cut, the extender was never used it is not needed with a HPX Maf, I made a custom air box and it fits perfect so tomorrow the car goes back to the dyno.

I will post pictures tomorrow and I am going to Gainesville in my car, I am praying for no rain.

Well Johns car is on the dyno, the slicks are on my car I am headed to Gainesville, here is Johns dyno sheet and you can see the difference between a Novi 1200/2200. I made no timing changes I only got the AF in the mid 11's so with more tweaking this car will be a contender, I will post the Video tomorrow.

45.52 RWHP Gain
32.24 RWT
Boost gain of 3.11 PSI

When I dyno a car I take my time, The first thing I do is lock the trans in third so there are no downshifts at WOT, and then pull global timming. Then I start to work on AF the get it as straight as I can, then I start adding timing back, this will keep you from blowing up a engine on the dyno, now I was asked why I did not run the car to 7K by a person that as far as I know has never had a car on the dyno, but I more that any thing want to get along, if you look at the dyno sheet this morning the car made 636 RWHP at 6300 RPM the graph is not climbing so to me it is stupid to push the car to 7K just to say you can, this is my forum for my customers.

I don't know that I agree...
With my D1SC setup power started falling off at about 6500.
Thanks Brian, if you look at the dyno sheet the car has a steady climb to 18 PSI, no belt slipage he is running a 8 Rib. This is the fourth or fifth pull the car is not even close to being dialed in, the ignore button does wonders. I hope all is well with you and your family.

Exactly the same as my experience. Boost kept climbing steadily with RPM's, HP started dropping off at 6500. It was tuned by 3 different people on 3 different dyno's with the same results.

Hmm good info I really wanna get my car on the dyno now. Back when the rev limiter was at 6200 it def made power till the limiter. I'd like to see if mine stops at 6500 too now that I've moved the limiter out of the way. That would really help my shift point selection for the track. (6000, 6300, 6300 right now)

So is pulling global timing pulls timing across the entire rpm range? Or do you pull timing in certain rpm range also?
Reason I ask because back in my old 5.0 days we use to add timing to gain hp. Is the mod motor opposite?

Reason I ask because back in my old 5.0 days we use to add timing to gain hp. Is the mod motor opposite?
I pull global timing till I get the A/F correct and then start putting it back and adding timing through the entire spark table till I make peak power, the reason for pulling the timing when you first get started is, what happens if the car is lean at WOT, and you have a bunch in there of course its going to spark knock, which is not always heard, and is not a good thing, cars with knock sensors you can watch the knock table and see if they are pulling or adding timing, built motors the knock sensors are turned off, because of the cast block, Pro-charged cars have issues with noise from the S/C itself, so you adjust the knock table retard, Trilogy cars are the same the OEM knock sensor boss has to be ground down, for the lower intake to clear, the knock sensors are relocated but, in essence they will not be as accurate so again the retard table is adjusted and or the knock sensors can be turned off, either way A/F and spark is where you make the power at, insuring the car has a good fuel system, is imperative, as well as large enough injectors and Maf, and watching IAT Eaton's tend to become heat soaked more than centrifugal S/C, so all these things you should consider when choosing forced induction.

Well we got a used tank and Adirian from mild to wild modified it and did a very good job, we decided to add the sump to prevent any chance of wirlpooling in the stock basket, Adrian cut the tank and opened it up and added large holes in the basket to ensure the basket stays full under load,

so installed the tank today while Steve worked on a 56 Chevy he rejetted the carb and it gained 41 RWHP.

I went to a return fuel set up #10 going in #8 on return. Where i installed the line at the tank (bad) at the time i thought would be ok but what happened was when i get down to about a 1/4 tank & get on it fuel is being forced away from the p/u line. I asked Dennis to fix & maybe he can explain better then me. 63 & still learning. :)

Well what we did is take a stock tank and had it sent out to have it modified wit a lower sump, John is using a Aeromotive A1000 FP dash 8 feed dash 6 return, the car originally had a dash six before the conversion to return fuel system, so what we did is flip the Kinsler dash six FF around so it filters return gas back to the tank, we had the whole primed to keep the rust down, the car goes back on the dyno, we are adding Muth Mirrors and a Aerforce guage where the Fuel pressure guage is at on the A Pillar.

Sorry for the barrage of questions but I would love to know the details for this beautiful car
Engine- forged 10:1 compression IIRC, is it still a 4.6, any head work/cams?
Blower- Paxton 2200 looks to be 16psi on the dyno graph with an 8rib conversion what size blower pulley, does it have an OD balancer, what bypass are you using?
