For those who are making their first trip to the 2010 Carlisle "All Ford Nationals" .......

Here is the address of the Gate 3 Main Entrance to the showfield to load into your navigation system or plug into Google Maps. Make sure you put your showfield sticker on the driver's side windshield BEFORE you arrive if you have pre-registered. All others will have to stop at the registration lot/building on the left about 200 feet before the gate.

To get to the "Marauder Area", go straight through the gate and make the sweeping right curve until it straightens out heading South-East. We'll be on the left about 6 rows back near the treeline.

1000 Bryn Mawr Road, Carlisle, PA 17013

Charlie, on the windshield sticker, I'd like to avoid putting it on the glass because that glue is a real bear to get off afterward. I've seen some people put the sticker on a piece of plastic that then lays onto the windshield and stays there with static charge like you see on electronics products that protects glass or plastic faceplates. Where could I get some of that static adhere plastic or whatever you call it?

Thanks for the info Bluerauder!

BY the way has anyone looked @ the long range forcast for the event?

I looked @ it last night and it dosn't look too promissing for good weather. Some of my on-line friends had been watching it for me and sent me a mail saying I need to check it out.

I told them come hell or high water I am going anyways rain or shine! We don't have trailer queens anyways too tuff a car for that

Mike Poore used "Saran Wrap" or some other plastic wrap for his and it seemed to work pretty well at least at the event. Don't think that I would try to run at highway speeds with it though.

Think that I would look at one of the craft stores for static cling clear plastic. Maybe "Michaels", "MJ Designs", etc.

Well today the NWS (whom I work for :help:) has upper 70s for the weekend and 40% chance of showers on Friday, 30% chance on Sunday, and no call at this point for rain on Saturday. So far, Saturday looks the best but 7-day forecasts are not very good. Wait until about 4 days out and you'll have a better answer.

This sounds like the forecast for every year I been going. Last year was a downpour on Friday and Saturday became hot and sticky. The high 70 degree temps is a huge improvement.

Heres the forecast as of now.

Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 70s. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Lows in the lower 60s. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s.

Maybe bringing the Fusion isnt such a bad thing after all.

I won't trust a single weather man after all the wrong predictions of snow over the winter. Ill wait til the event to begin worrying about the weather.
