What's your setup, what stall speed did you choose, and how big of an improvement did you notice?

I just ordered mine today, an Edge "Street Edge" 3400 stall  Really looking forward to installing it!

Just step on the gas, don't be timid, you'll really notice the difference. Mine is a 3500 from PI, installed about four years ago.

So what kind of gains would you say you felt from your upgraded TC's? Andre (the guy who built my TC) tells me it will be my favorite mod I've ever done to the car and it will feel 1000 lbs lighter. I'm really looking forward to it :D

So did you guys hook up an aftermarket tranny cooler in series with your stocker or how did you do yours?

yo matt, if you still have the factory stock converter on your set up. you need to get the 3500 stall, then it will feel so much quicker. there is a nite and day difference between a centrifugal with stock conerter, then with a high stall.
trust me
THATS WHAT YOU NEED!

A tune and a 3000 stall converter took 1.1 seconds off my 1/4 times when I was NA.

Did you notice a big change in daily driveability or gas mileage from the TC when you were NA?

from my experience, DD and high stall dont go together. its pretty annoying in traffic. you have to press the gas pedal farther to get the car to actually move. i can actually come to a stop and take my foot off the brake and the car will not move. infact if im on an incline i have to hold my foot on the brake just so i dont roll backwards.

great looking mm! question? my boy who is running the silver birch and i running the DTR marauder my mm rides nice and low in front giving it that mean forward lean. his birch does not it looks to be riding level both r stock. do u have a lowering kit on urs?

That's not good at all. lol
On flat level ground my car will start creeping forward and I can take my foot off the brake on hills while in Drive and the car won't roll back.

I daily drove the crap out of mine which has a 3500 stall, 3.55 stock gears and a 3.50 effective rear gear cause I have slightly larger rear tires. If I am doing normal driving then I have to give it a little more throttle to get it going as I'm easing into it. Now if I get aggressive from a start (not going WOT) the car gets up and moves with no problem.

I shaved about a tenth off my 1/4 mile time on street tires and half a second with drag radials (effective 3.89 rear gear).

It all really depends on how the car is going to be used and what other mods you may already have or plan on getting.

I have a 3000 stahl P.I. in my N/A.
Car went from 14.51 e.t. to 14.21 e.t.
If I had it to do again I would go with a 3500 stahl.
Just my 4.6 cts.

its done this since day one. the rolling backwards thing dosent bother me really, its like i have a manual so its kinda cool. it also creep forward most of the time but some times it does not

You just need more power ;)

I DD mine and I don't mind it too much. The extra revs in town make it a little harder on the pocket, but such is life. The extra revs at low throttle in town can get a little old, but again it's really a matter of personal tolerance at that point.

Regardless what others may post - if the TC is properly installed and properly tuned there is absolutely no difference as a DD except when you step on the gas. I have had a 3500 PI for 5 years. Its runs absolutely normal on the street until I get on it. So who tuned the shift schedule - the best ever - Jerry W. and no one has touched it since.

Hey guess what?!?!?!? We agree on something! lol

Yes if it is tune is properly tuned for the converter there should be no difference expect when you get aggressive with the throttle, providing you get the right stall for your application.

I also have a 3500 PI triple disk w/4.10 gears. It is a noisier than stock and my previous 3000 single disk but is still pretty good for DDing.

I am still tweaking the tune a little bit but it feels nearly stock when just cruising and launches the car when I get into it. Couple more minor tweaks and it will be perfect. Need it to be smooth since I do all city driving for my hour long commute.

I completly removed the stock cooler and am just running a heavy duty one w/no bypass. Even on +90° days it doesn't normally get over 160° and is usually in the low to mid 150s when moving. I also have a deep pan which I'm not sure if it really aids anything other than just having more fluid.

my car averages 13 to 15 mpg with the T/C in the city, driving normal.
but in the highway i dont notice it, and get 19mpg at 80mph on cruise control.

No difference in gas mileage and a slight difference in driveability.
I have a 3500 now and there is a significant difference in driveability and gas mileage.
I will be going back to a 3000 or even lower when I swap the motor.
I have been driving the fsvt mostly because of the longer commute, so you really notice the difference going from a manual in a 2600 lb car to the 3500 TC in a 4400 lb car.
I have a burned up 3000 single disc I need to send to PI to turn into a triple disc.
Since Scott Beer left the country I will probably have to go to Dennis to get a tune. The folks left down here are just too unreliable.
