Fixed the BCM last week, testing the AC today. Not sure what's up but it won't cool any more. Compressor cycles, you can feel the pressure surging in the lines and the high side gets hot but no cooling. Saw a puff of smoke near the compressor just before it quit cooling. My SWAG, something clogged the orifice then it blew the freon and compressor oil out one of the o-ring fittings at the compressor. Oh well, I guess she's parked for awhile until I can afford to fix it.

You are parking the car because the A/C doesn't work?

Why be hot? I got plenty of other vehicles (with working AC).

I may have it figured out...

I have one of those R134 quickie-fill attachments (with gauge) still connected to a partial can of freon I had used to top off another car awhile back. I connected it to the low side, the pressure was a little high. Then I turned on the AC, when the compressor kicked in the pressure would drop like it's supposed to. The compressor wouldn't stay on and kept cycling, so I added just a little bit of freon. No change. Still not cooling in the cabin. Once the car warmed up to the point the fans kicked on for my intercooler and oil cooler, the AC started cooling a little bit. I'm thinking WTF, why isn't the main fan running. It's supposed to always run with the AC on. So I tinkered with the fan awhile and never got it to run. The intercooler and oil cooler fans moved enough air across the radiator to keep the car from overheating but not enough to keep the AC cooling adequately. I'll put my spare fan on and see if that fixes it. Takes awhile since I gotta change it over to the Mustang housing. Glad I didn't sell it!

Fixed! I figured it was likely a bad fan when I unplugged the connector and saw the blackened/burned contacts. Maybe the fan has been intermittent for awhile. Hopefully the car will run a little cooler now.
