View Full Version : Did I break something?

I was cleaned my dashboard with armor all and later that night, I noticed that the headlight switch / dimmer switch was not illuminating. Now I can't remember if it was ever back lit to begin with. Did I break something or does that switch not light up???

Yes it does light up. There is a small bulb in the headlight switch. Mine went out and I was able to fab up a new bulb.

which part of it lights up? all i get is the fog light indicator

Sorry, you are correct. There is only a bulb for the foglight indicator.

We have a fog light indicator? That has never been lit in my car. Should it only be on when the fogs are on? How do you change the bulb?

Yes and Yes. Not sure about changing the bulb. I assume its probably a LED like the window control panel.

Is there a good write up on how to remove the headlight switch from the dash somewhere?

EDIT: Never mind. I figured it out.

Did you find the foglight indicator bulb? Nice long leads......

Yea, I hacked something together with a bulb from radio shack. Unless I'm missing something, I don't have a foglight indicator. It's a backlight for the auto, off, parking, headlight on logos on the rotary switch.
